We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning!

United StatesThe entire property was magnificent, lush vgetation, expertly landscaped. The vegetation also gives each unit privacy. The hosts are delightful, plaeasant, informative and always eager to answer questions and make suggestions to enhance your vacation. The dwellings and property are spotless. Because the property is in the jungle, the sounds of nature are all around. It is easy to get to the national park in Cauhita. We rented bikes as our mode of transportation but the property is best enjoyed with a vehicle. The pool is magnificent, large and surrounded by natural vegetation.

I forgot to take pictures, but the lodge was absolutely gorgeous, and our room had all that you needed for visiting Cahuita.

United KingdomSuperb location, quiet but close to the centre, I loved it's proximity to the National Park, going to sleep listening to the Howler Monkeys.
It was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, I've stayed there before and will stay there again, I've stayed in several other properties close by but this is by far the best, outstanding.

It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. One of the big reasons we went with this hotel was the availability of the free bikes- which unfortunately kept breaking down. But they went out of their way to fix them for us. We also appreciate the do it-yourself laundry available, and the clean pool to cool off in, during the late afternoon when it’s really hot. The air conditioning worked really well and the location is great; as it is not in the middle of the downtown hustle and bustle. Very close to the national park - we biked there three times! Nice restaurant - Reggae’s - very close. Easy access to stretch of black sand beach that was not full of tourists. Cahuita is a hidden gem.
Cahuita is a hidden gem. It’s a small, quiet peaceful place to stay that is near to Puerto Viejo, but without the noise. The beaches and wildlife were wonderful, and we loved visiting Cahuita National Park. There is a bus stop in Cahuita which goes to Puerta Viejo. We loved eating at many of the local restaurants.
