    In summary we had a relaxing peaceful elegant rest. While landing at Larnaca from necessity, we decided that we should transfer to Paphos, to get the right mix of hotel quality and evening activities even though it's a long drive. good decision, even though we barely left the hotel because it was so lovely. We in retrospect could have taken the half board option because we ate all our meals in one of the Thanos hotels. Room. Relaxing, beautiful view, good size, loved the turn down in the evening. Should we have taken the kyrma garden room? No....we had same view and would have felt we needed to stay on the veranda all day. Instead we moved around during the day to follow the sun, ending up in the gorgeous spa for a relax. beautiful swimming pools. Regarding the hotel choice, after reading all the reviews we plumped for sea not mountain, and Almyra was the right choice for our relax-vaca. Anabelle I think caters to an older adult crowd and probably for kids because they have adult only spa at Almyra. Almyra looks and feels modern and was right for us. Annabelle more luxury in a detailed style. In both, staff are welcoming and kind. Also Anabelle is more of an H shape hotel, Almyra spread even meanders along the sea front. the staff were so kind and professional. breakfast to go at 0500 due to early checkout? no problem. car service booked for specific time? absolutely prompt. spa was fabulous, thank you Lizi.

    It was my husbands Birthday during our stay and I booked an executive suite and had a surprise stuff, like decorations, but unfortunately my husbands still chosen the honeymoon suite that we was booked during my birthday last time we was stayed at the hotel and he likes it very much. Happily that suite he likes was available and we just added an additional payment, and for the other room they didn't charge me for the decorations. The hotel meet our expectations and we had a very nice stay although it was been so rainy.. thank you so much and looking forward to stay again next time.

    I loved lying out on the beach, swimming and enjoying life. I want to especially mention Marianna, who works the beach bar with a great smile on her face. She has plenty of business but manages to always make a great cocktail and tells you, “I hope you really, really enjoy your time.” She remembers your name and room number almost instantly too. I’ve been all over the world and to many bars and Marianna is the best at what she does.

    I found the sunbeds on the beaches everywhere a set price of 2.50€ which was a great deal I prefer more live music bars so I was a bit disappointed that only found one - the rose pub but it was great there

    Our stay was absolutely perfect. The apartment is modern, well-equipped, and very clean. Everything we needed was nearby – shops, restaurants, and the beach. The host was very welcoming and made sure we had everything for a great holiday. Would definitely stay here again!

    Only spent 2 days in Larnaka as I was attending a wedding. Visited the Mall for some last minute essentials and strolled around the town with all the tourist shops stopping for a light lunch at one of the many eating venues.

    We went for the annual Moonwalk, amazing as usual. Restaurants and bars excellent and varied, every taste catered for. Found the bars a bit noisy on the weekend as they compete with each other. Mid week were fine, you could actually talk to each other. Beaches and boardwalk are lovely.

    Good bits were going to the wall city as it is known.it has a history which was interesting. The only one negative point was it was very hot and humid. Apart from the weather being a little hot it was an enjoyable outing. Just across the wall city there was a coffee shop that serves delicious cream cakes, sandwich, coffee, tea, wine and of course beers etc.

    Polis is a nice place to spend a couple of days. There are some good restaurants and bars in the center of the town, serving nice traditional dishes in good prices. Nearby Latsi beach is well organised, offering all the amenities someone can expect (lifeguard, changing rooms, toilets). Polis can be used as the base for exploring the area and particularly Akamas peninsula. Highly recommended to 1st time visitors to the island!

    Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus.

    Platres is one of my favourite mountain villages in Cyprus. it has a lovely vibe and many restaurants and cafes to choose from. I recommend Pendeli Hotel for a luxurious stay or forest park if looking for a very budget friendly stay. Petit Palais is one of the oldest hotels in the square and is loved by locals and tourists. EnPlatron is one of my favourite Taverns offering great traditional dishes and live music on weekends. Kaledonia Tavern is also a favourite local tavern so make sure to give it a try Cleopatra Bistro is a favourite for modern dining and deserts and beverages. Beautiful and modern decor if looking for yummy fast food try I Sitzia Tou Mavrou for a delicious Gyros

    We chose a strategy of staying in a relatively central location, between Larnaca/Limassol and Ayia Napa, and rented a car. The drives were relatively short, around 30–45 minutes, with clear roads, no traffic, and a highway running across the country. I recommend others do the same.

The surrounding nature is remarkable, with hiking trails like Varkotis and Chromium offering unique paths through green forests and along rivers. The peace provided by the environment makes hiking an invigorating experience. Additionally, the calming sound of the river that flows through the area, like the one you can hear in the backyard of Maritsa Lodge, offers a unique sense of inner peace, almost like the natural white noise of the outdoors. In the village center, the traditional architecture remains intact, with taverns like Podji Poda serving excellent local cuisine, and small cafés welcoming you for a relaxing drink and dessert in the main square. Landmarks such as the chapels of Saint Nicholas and Saint George provide opportunities for pilgrimage, while Marina's Rope Park offers activities for the more adventurous visitors. Overall, Kakopetria is an ideal destination for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, blending absolute tranquility with opportunities for outdoor activities and cultural exploration.
