Slovakiathe establishment is located in the nature, but near the train track so if you keep your windows opened during night and you have the room situated to the track (as we had) you can hear it, it was not loud but it is something to mention. Wellness here was excellent, pool where you can actually swim, diner and breakfast was very tasty and with enough choices for everybody . Rooms were one of the best I had in my entire trip in Czechia. Staff were is exceptional as one can guess from the nature of resort - luxury noble but modern.

We got clear detailed instructions that were a piece of cake to follow. Super comfy beds and a beautiful garden. We checked out an hour later without charge, it was even oppered to us in the message because we got there so late. Honestly one of the best experiences ever!

I absolutely loved this place. It is in a beautiful location, it is incredibly peaceful there, the room is huge and sparkly clean, the owner is super sweet, and the breakfast is delicious. If I am ever again in that area, I will stay there again.

Staff spoke English which is uncommon in the Chech republic.
Plenty of activities in and out of the resort.
Food was great, especially the included breakfast.

We were traveling with dog, so we made a note about it during reservation. In a room we found dog bowls and a blanket her her. Super nice, never met this approach before. Wellness at the hotel is also great!

Kutná Hora was absolutely stunning. I fell in love with this place. Beautiful monuments, wonderful streets in the old town, good shops, restaurants and cafes. Nice and intimate, not as crowded as Praha. Loved, loved, loved it! My children loved it too. Wanna come back soon!

Poděbrady is perhaps one of the most scenically-set small to medium-sized towns in Europe and feels much larger than it really is. My home town is Belper, Derbyshire and one would have to go back over half-a-century to when its population was that of Poděbrady's, which is something to cause one to pinch oneself - "There's the railway station. There's the park. There's the main square. Oh, did I tell you about the river...and the meadows around it? Silly me!"

As a beer lover the main purpose of this trip was to sample fresh beer at the Berounsky Medved Pivovary.
However the town is also very interesting and historical.
Also there are many activities that take place in the town square through out the year.
Worth a visit if only on a day trip from Prague on the train to Beroun.

Super clean and quiet accommodation. Perfect for a quick stop and the amenities were wonderful. Even a teddy bear and soap for my little girl. Would really recommend. We could even see the airport from the room windows. The lady that checked us in was so friendly and helpful.

It's a lovely little town, and the chateau would be great to visit in the summer - the grounds have spectacular views.
There are some excellent restaurants in the town, but be wary of the Chinese. They gave us a big bowl of rice which we didn't ask for but assumed was included in the order. I don't like rice and my husband had (I kid you not) only 3 spoonfuls of it with his meal. They charged us 90czk (nearly 4 euros) for this, and were very unhelpful when I complained.
The Bear Bar has a great selection of own-brewed beers, as well as some delicious APAs and IPAs. The burgers were good, but the chips were fab - real potatoes with skin on ;-)

This is not really a tourist town.
This is not really a tourist town. Only staying there because of Czech family nearby. However, it has great railway hub, eg Prague in 40 mins and I can recommend the Spa town of Podebrady. Travel is exceptionally cheap - 75% discount for Seniors and kids so really easy to get around even if you pay full rate and you don't need to be a Czech national nor have a discount card.
In my opinion Kolin is punching above it's weight!

The most enjoyable part of visiting Pribram was leaving it! To be fair we were only staying there as a place to sleep while visiting nearby. Unfortunately we were staying in the middle of urban hell which is in the more modern part of what is now central Pribram. If you do want to visit this place then definitely stay in the old quarter which I have been to before and features a very attractive church on Svata Hora in the north east part.

Beautiful Cathedral City.
Santa Barbara is a breathtaking Gothic Cathedral in the centre of town.
Ossuary is a genial work of art adorned with bones made into art. You cannot take pictures inside though. The neighbouring Cathedral is also stunning.
There are a lot of restaurants in town for good Czech food.

It is one of more modern style spas (100 years old only) in the Czechia and easy to access by train from Prague. Great for cycling, because it is mostly flat land and routes available along the rivers. There also historical landmarks from the time before the spa. Nice park and 8 freely available mineral springs (April-October). You can take a boat ride as a full trip or only one-way (to Nymburk and get back by train or to the merge of rivers Elbe and Cidlina). It is good for small children too, there are some fine playgrounds, but only two are near the historical part, rest is in the north of the town (across the railway). Other interesting spots for a trip (by a car) are available from here (for example Kutná Hora).
