Everything was great; it's a huge hotel and isn't too busy in winter so they gave me an early check in when I arrived. The rooms have gorgeous panoramic windows, warm wood furnishings, cream carpets -- a very modern, Scandinavian feel. You can use your bathrobe and slippers to go to the spa -- I only tried the outdoor thermal pools (you can use them for 3 hrs per night of stay, which is totally enough), but there's no limit on using the indoor pool (note that this one opens at 13 pm on workdays, and 10 am on the weekends). The pool area is spotless and is continually cleaned; it's nextdoor to a restaurant where you can get snacks. Breakfast was great. The hotel is right downtown, within easy walking distance from both the bus/train station (15 min) and the rest of town (takes about 20 min to walk to the other edge of town).Guest review byNatasaUnited States

The Singing Fountain is just magical--especially at night! Try to go when it's open. The town center is quiet, peaceful, and safe. It's a very walkable place in general. Drinking water from all its springs was fascinating. The food options were quite good--no chains but a lot of "mom and pop" places with no shortage of cuisine types. The locals don't speak the best English, but that's to be expected in a small town. Lovely small town with a beautiful castle/ chateau where you can also see the relics of St Maur and you can have a lovely lunch or a coffee and cake in a wonderful cafe there. Great choice of soups! I expected it to be my dream place for enjoying a spa experience, and at the end there was nothing available of that sort, maybe only in the very expensive hotels. Mine was a decent hotel, but did not have pool, and there were two public places that were not appealing at all. The town was nice, but most places close very early. Such a small beautiful city that makes you feel like in a movie. The castle is amazing, the nature around keeps you fresh. Definitely we will come back and it is a super romantic place to visit with your partner. The city is quite small, so you can walk around easily. Classic (Habsburg Empire times) architecture's town-museum, unique in that sense. The old town is framed by mountains and forests, on the mountain river. Hot and warm springs are all around town. One can feel like his on a filming site, but everything is real. Excellent beer, good food, competitive prices, and hotel prices are absolute value for money. On the negative side, the town has a heavy Soviet times legacy, mostly in its specialization in attracting tourists from Russia. As a result, the Soviet Russian culture is dominating everywhere - from adverts, small and large - in Russian as the main foreign language around the town, to hotel and restaurant staff, always speaking Russian, in some cases -German, and far less often - English. I know that the town authorities tried to switch the main tourist origin from Russians to Germans of Russian origin after the start of Russian aggression on Ukraine. They partially succeeded, but unfortunately, it didn't change the atmosphere in a beautiful town much. You can still see Russian as the dominating language around with tons of loudly speaking, hardly talking people, some with bad manners, dominating in town. Probably, those with nostalgia for Soviet times, or who speak only Russian, will feel more comfortable here than in any other town in the EU, though.Guest review byV.GliožerisLithuania - 10.0

I like Mariansky Lazne more than Karlovy Vary. It is small beautiful town, so peaceful and green. Everything is cheaper than in KV. Good restaurants, cafes, fine boutiques. Many trails for people who love walking. I lived in Hotel Continental - lovely place with spacious room, pool, sauna, wellness centre, excellent breakfasts and dining. A beautiful little town that isn't swamped with tourists. Compact and easily walkable, with a range of sights including several museums and the impressive castle.
