The south Bohemian city of Ceske Budejovice has been a center of brewing since the 13th century. The vast, beautiful Námesti Otakar II square is the site of stately Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque buildings, including the beautiful 1727 town hall.
As a largest town of South Bohemia is ideal as a starting point for exploring surroundings, Česky Krumlov, Trebon, Kratochvile castle, Prachatice, Hluboka... Old part of town is full of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance buildings. Nice to stroll and discover sights. Many good restaurants, like Mesne Kramy and U Tri sedlaku with excellent Czech food. It is a home town of Budweiser beer.
Small town. Interesting square. God point from where to start when you plan visiting South Bohemia.
We've chosen Trebon as a base for our trip through South Bohemia. Stayed there for 4 nights, but mainly to sleep over. Liked the walks through the city center, but there could be more places to enjoy good beer. Local Regent beer is unfortunately poor but I hear the fish in the restaurants is great. Great nature around town.
It is a good starting point for short driving to multiple locations in South Bohemia and Moravia
This is a beautiful little town in South Bohemia. The main square is beautiful as are many of the surrounding buildings. There are many good restaurants and cosy bars! It is also a good base to visit the surrounds sights.
I only stayed for a short time and it was just enough. I personally prefer to travel around and see different places rather than feel like I've spent too long somewhere. I was lucky enough to see this place in the snow and it's just beautiful. The views from the castle over the old town area when it's dark, with a bit of lighting and the snow just absolutely magnificent. "The Pearl of South Bohemia" is what I am told Cesky Krumlov is - and it's not difficult to see why!
A south Bohemian jewel located at the Vltava river. Offering culture, tourism, sports, adrenaline events and culinary experiences. There is beautiful chateau with a large park, which invites for relaxation and romantic walks. Families with children will certainly appreciate the largest South Bohemian ZOO with more than 300 animal species.
beautiful south Bohemia. A very calm and beautiful city. Don't miss here if you gonna travel to Czech Republic.
This city is a lovely mix of old and new. Plenty to see and do right in the city or alternatively can be used as a base to explore all the treats of South Bohemia.

We are a family of 5, we stayed 5 nights at a family apartment. The room was clean and big enough for all of us. We used the cooking gear and fridge. The kids used the outdoor pool and trampoline and the in door tennis table. We had lake view from the balcony. The location is good only few minutes drive from the lake and great spot for daily tours in south Bohemia. Last but not least- Radik is warm and helpful, letting us feel just like at home. We enjoyed the stay here.

Unbelievable polite staff comparing with staff at hotels in Český Krumlov.Tasty and fresh meal in restaurant including coffee. We like so much jacuzzi, spa and outdoor pool with enough sunbeds. It's nearby Český Krumlov. There is enough parking slot. We'll come back definitely.

Excellent location near the old town with private car park. Parking is on a slight slope with a flat-cobbled surface, so OK for motorcycles. And there's a lift.
