- From $511.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 570 reviewsThe view from our room was marvelous. The room was big, clean, equipped with everything. Good breakfast and dessert. Appreciated the snacks served between breakfast and dinner. Plenty of alcoholic drinks to choose from, good cocktails. I appreciated the private sundeck with sunbeds and that the SUPs and canoes were for free, as well as life vests and paddles. The self service bar was a nice touch too. Even though we discovered it on our own, since no one actually told us about it. Even if I did not use the service, I think it's cool they provide bikes for rental. I appreciated we received the Grainau Card, even if we didn't really use it. But a cute gesture. Parking with a lot of spaces, only for hotel guests.Guest review byTeodoraRomania

We've never seen such a variety of breakfast options—it's like attending an amazing banquet :))) The rooms are fantastic with very comfortable beds—mattresses, pillows, blankets—everything is top-notch. The hotel grounds are unbelievably beautiful with a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely return here next time. Thank you for everything!Guest review byNikolayUnited States
- From $961.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,383 reviewsAlthough the main lobby was closed and things got shifted around, it still was an excellent stay! The staff were wonderful and the room was really nice! It had everything I wanted and more. One thing I noticed was that when I left in the morning and had hung the “make up room” tag, I always returned with the room made up! Not so with many of the competitors, in Munich and abroad.Guest review byKhalidBahrain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 467 reviewsGreat Location to everything. Walk out the door and you are in it! We stayed in room 216 which was on the back alley, but had a forward window and side balcony out of the afternoon sun. A breeze cuts across the room. Al's this room has a little view up the Alps. We were pleasantly surprised. None of the other balcony rooms in the back of the hotel get the cross breeze.Guest review bynivmanGermany

Munich is a very beautiful historical city with Bavarian spirit. You will enjoy its architecture, churches, palaces, museums, huge English garden. There are numerous restaurants and bear gardens. The infrastructure and transport are organized exceptionally well, it's easy to move around. Besides, Munich is famous for its cultural life. Children will enjoy many parks, as well as the famous Deutsches Museum and the zoo.Guest review byMariamGeorgia - 8.0

Too short to tell, arrived late, a bit after midnight and had to leave earlier in the morning. So can't say too much about the city, as it was just a layover for us. Will have to give it a go another time, and visit the main attractions.Guest review byClaudiuLuxembourg - 8.0

Lovely city to have a stop during my drive to a business meeting. City has nice architecture and the Donau river gives the extra touch. Enough possibilities to have a nice lunch and diner. Can recommend Burgerheart when you want some nice American experience. Loved the peer-melon limonade. Went now two year in a row to Regensburg and can't wait for the next one.Guest review byBoecky89Belgium - 10.0

A very interesting historical city, much of which has been lovingly restored after devastating air raid damage in WW2. The Residence I(and its gardens) are well worth visiting, being a smaller scale version of the palaces at Versailles and Charlottenburg. Don't miss the Hofkirche while there. The Marienberg Fortress on the hill overlooking the town offers fantastic views, but is currently being extensively refurbished. It is still worth visiting though. And if you like visiting churches, you will not be disappointed here. Fantastic cuisine and wine available here. we can heartily recommend Aifach Resins and zum Stachel, the former for more contemporary cuisine and the latter for more traditional fare in traditional and historic surroundings.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Augsburg is a very charming city with lots of points of interest and restaurants and caffee's. Don't miss the Rathausplatz, Fuggerei, Maximilianstrasse, Koenigplatz and old city walls. For good Bavarian/Schwaebische Food I recommend Restaurant unter dem Bogen on Annastrasse. People watching and relaxing Caffee Eber am Rathausplatx. Take one of the city tours, organized by the city and raasonably priced. Augsburgs Strassenbahn System makes it easy to get around, buy a "Streifenkarte". Walk around in the Altstadt and around the "Kahnfahrt" and the old city walls- it is just beautiful.Guest review byUrsulaGermany - 10.0

Stay near center. Ride E-bike around lake (ca 35 km). Swim in lake! Visit castle but only hike up there if your joints/heart can handle it. It’s very steep and ca 40 min walk up hill. Beautiful town :)Guest review byEmilyNetherlands - 4.0
Not as great as advertised.
Not as great as advertised. The old city center is quite nice. The views of the rivers are nice too. Worth a day trip if you're in the neighborhood. Parking situation sucks. There are parking garages that actually close from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. We got up at 4 a.m. to get on the road early to beat the traffic when we noticed the garage being closed. It's the first time it ever happened to us. No way to get in and anywhere near your car. It was 10.30€ for a day. It was the Parkhaus Wöhrl. By the way you can't pay by debit card and you should have the right amount of money with you. If you put in 50€ you don't get any change back! WTF?! If you want to be able to access your car 24/7 you have to find a garage that doesn't close for the night. There is one for currently 35€ a day. There are parking lots as well but I can't say how safe it is to park your car overnight...Guest review byAnonymousGermany - 10.0

The highlight was of course the Zugspite and the journey there by train, rack-rail, and cable car. Amazing views from the Zugspitze plateau topped only by the panorama from the peak itself. Given more time we'd have explored the many hiking trails, including the Partnach Gorge, but did manage the short walk to the beautiful pilgrimage church of Wallfahrtskirche St. Anton, not far from our hotel in downtown Partenkirchen.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
