- From $147.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 5,206 reviewsThe hotel has extremely friendly and professional staff, from housekeeping to service they employ many people, all of them exceptionally friendly. The view onto the marina and the ocean bay beyond is spectacular, no road anywhere near. The structure seems to be solidly built - you do not hear your next door neighbour or their bathroom. The sauna is neat, looks out onto the same bay. Breakfast is served from 7 to 11 and caters to every need. The restaurant serves deliciously cooked food, including a vegan dish. Three days were expensive but singularly relaxing and refreshing.Guest review byDorotheeGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,510 reviewsHouse was spacious and clean with a lot of amenities. Staff were very friendly! Due to a mistake we had to change houses on the second day but were offered a late check out on our last day. Surrounding is very quiet, especially in the low season. When booking accommodation in winter / early spring you have to take into consideration that almost everything is still closed.Guest review byMaxiGermany

We didn't know much about the East/West German divide so we were nervous about visiting Rostock. However, it was a pleasant, clean, safe town. We walked everywhere. There were nice parks, a wonderful museum and the St Mary's cathedral (first mentioned in 1232) had an astronomical clock that was a feat of engineering and upon striking 12 noon a procession of small wooden figures rotated around the top. We were impressed with the history of the place. The museum had a display about WWII and it was only in German, however we were able to scan large paragraphs of the display to the phone and download a German translation pack to be able to read it. We ate in several little establishments. We always got correct change back from our bills, unlike other places in Europe where you have to be really cautious with your money. I even tried the local Rostock beer!Guest review byHollyUnited States - 8.0

The town is very beautiful - nature, architecture, the beach. It's just exceptional, so many places to enjoy! Restaurants are very expensive and the food is either mediocre or really bad. If you really like good food, I'd recommend purchasing products in supermarket and cook at home. Little fish shops with smoked fish is the best food this place has to offer in my opinion.Guest review byAnastasiiaGermany - 10.0

Great trip to Warnemunde. We enjoyed cycling, swimming, beach and great local food. Perfect family trip from our base at Aja hotel. Karl’s Edbeerhof theme park was a fun day trip for the kids. Nice strawberries, funfair and shopping.Guest review byAliceUnited Kingdom - 10.0

An elegant small city (so easy to cover on foot) with many attractive buildings in addition to the sensational 'Schloss' (castle/palace). The lakes add to its charm. I was sorry to find that the main art gallery was closed till Autumn 2025.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The island of Rügen is easily accessible by car and can easily be explored for two days with e-bike and steam locomotive. Peenemünde is also a good option. Around Stralsund, you can easily take several e-bike tours, for example, to Aussichtsturm Barhöft.Guest review byjvstrnNetherlands - 10.0

One more comment about the Altstadt apartment: check-in is not allowed until 4p.m. And you don't find that out til after you have paid. We had to while away an hour in a coffee shop, surrounded by our suitcases, as we had already arranged to arrive about 3, which has been the latest check-in time everywhere we've stayed before.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 10.0

It's cute, tucked away from main tourism. But plenty to do in terms of nature (Nature reserve Jasmund) and also the habour offers quite a number of attractions from sight seeing ship tours to a submarine museum.Guest review byMatthiasNetherlands - 8.0

Rostock is a charming Hanseatic city and this is clearly seen in the city centre and Old Town. There are plenty of redbrick gothic marvels including churches, towers and city gates. A short local train trip away is the completely different seaside resort of Warnemünde with its extensive sandy beach and typical German smart coastal architecture. A bonus of a December visit is the wonderful Christmas market where traditional mulled wine, beer, spirits, sweet and savoury food, and handicraft products are sold from brightly lit and decorated huts.Guest review byPaulMalta - 8.0

Binz is a lovely little seaside town, we love the fischbrotchen and cycling culture. You can get around on foot easily, the beach is well divided and organized, and you can get around by bus or train. Clean public restrooms are everywhere. Dont come for party life, but definitely for relax, no matter the weather. Dont forget to add lunch at Karls Erdbeerhof to your Rugen bucket list.Guest review byevie8vSlovakia
