We didn’t expect much, as we were simply looking for a place to stay overnight on our journey from Berlin to Denmark. Since most options in Kiel were already booked, we took a small detour and ended up in a quiet beach town we hadn't known before. The hotel turned out to be very cozy and beautifully decorated. The surrounding scenery was wonderful, and despite a construction site just outside, the long, peaceful sandy beaches left a lasting impression. The breakfast was excellent, offering plenty of variety.

The apartment was super cute and cozy. You will find everything you need/want for your stay, I mean everything. It was extremely close to the Marina dock, and there you will find some restaurants and local bistros as well.

This holiday flat wowed us with its location and beautiful views. Although the area around the marina is still under construction at the moment, we did not find this having an impact on our stay. Would love to come back to see the development finished. The flat itself is beautiful, spacious and has everything we needed. The panorama window in the living room and the balcony are spectacular! The sunsets on the eastern side of the Kiel fjord are something to behold. We sat on the balcony every evening, mesmerised by the views. Breakfast on the balcony was lovely, too. We observed the many different seabirds on the little bit of land on the other side of the marina. The little bistro in the harbour was a useful stop for a night cap, ice cream or snacks. The local supermarket is a short car (or bike) drive away. Schleswig_Holstein is my home, so there are far too many places for me to recommend! We did spend some lovely days in Laboe and on the beaches in Schönberg and Hohwacht. The best fish rolls of all time is being sold of the back of a van in Laboe harbour!
