The reception staff is very attentive and friendly! The cinema is fantastic; it's small, but it has a nice sound system. The room is clean, tidy, and well equipped with a smart lighting system. The TV is actually a beamer, an innovative idea. Breakfast is perfect; we can order how we want our eggs to be cooked.

The hotel is situated on the main street between the town and the slopes. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was nice and clean and although the restaurant is currently closed, next door was a fantastic place to eat after a day of snowboarding. We'll definitely be returning.

    The hotel is perfect for couples. The room looks romantic and not suitable for children. We wanted to spend quality time without noisy from neighbors or other families. The favorite one is the complimentary sauna for a couple in a romantic room. A sauna session with a partner in the winter is the most relaxing thing what we need after playing ski or other sport activities. We find the hotel very suitable for our needs. We will definitely come here again!

    The hotel is not located on a main road, which makes it super quiet but difficult to reach in heavy snowfall. The food was very good and was constantly replenished. It was also nice that there was something different on the menu every day. The room was clean, too bad the window did not have a tilt position and that the bathroom was a bit small. Otherwise a nice hotel where we would go again without any problems.

    Loved the size of our condo! Location is really great, so close to everything in and around Winterberg. The staff was really great- taking care of our needs and making sure we had what we needed. Our apartment was missing a toaster and they made sure we got one delivered. We want to come back and stay again, so that’s a sure sign of a great place!

    The room was comfortable, well equipped, modern, the little details in the room were well designed. Comfortable beds, smart tv, well equipped kitchen. The regional card, which gives you passes to a bunch of if attractions, was great. Nice warm pool. They provide towel and robes in the pool, which is really convenient.

    welcoming owners. we loved the breakfast! the storage for snowboards, clothes dryer right in the room. the main door is from the hotel hall but you also have the yard door, so it is easy to handle snowboards and bags. to add to this - great wellness center: jacuzzi, different saunas, gym.

    Winterberg exceeded expectations.

    Winterberg exceeded expectations. One believes that you would need to go to Switzerland or Austria to have a great ski holiday, but the truth is a short 4 hour drive from the middle of the Netherlands you are in a place where as a beginner skier you have everything you might want! There might be more challenging slopes, but I did not attempt those this time around, I will surely be back again to see more..

    The room was very spacious. the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was good and plentiful and it is a buffet style and it is topped up quickly when anything runs low. there were 2 choices for payment of the buffet one includes just food and the next is food and all your wine and beer which is good value. There is also a swimming pool sauna and these were clean. We were a party of 16 and hired the bowling alley, it was 15 euros an hour so not much between us and it was great fun. The bus stop is at the bottom of the drive and the bus ride about 15 mins into Schmallenberg which has many shops, cafes and restaurants.

    Hotel staff's behaviour so really nice and the location of the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was awesome. Only we had issue with the language as we do ot speak German and staff do not understand English well.

    Medebach is just a town, but with all the facilities you need. The - wider - (Hoch-)Sauerland area is great for all sorts of activities and even just touring - by car or motor bike - and sightseeing. Almost all year long, depending on your taste. We've been in the area when the weather was not that great - still lots to do, but cold rain all day long is not really our taste. We experienced that between (end of) February and late April three times, but last time in June, the weather was great.

    We wanted to eat on time on Saturday in Bad Berleburg. Unfortunatelly many restaurants were closed at around 17 o'clock and there was only one restaurant open but it was full the whole evening. We needed to drive further and lost 1 hour extra before we could find another place. It was on Saturday, the 9th of November 2024.

    If you go to Winterberg, do it for the nature.

    If you go to Winterberg, do it for the nature. Lovely for walking or touring with your car or motorbike. The village Winterberg is not that special, but it has nice restaurants and a good icecream café. Take a look at other bigger villages for daytrips. River the Eder and Edersee are also very beautifull!
