- From $282.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 3,542 reviewsExcellent place, ideal for families with kids. The room was spacious, we asked for an extra crib and it was promptly delivered to our door. Very clean. Excellent ventilation system. Good noise insulation. Excellent breakfast with many options for the whole family. The restaurant dinner was very good. Our family had a good time. Excellent common areas where we can lounge and meet other families. The family lounge was very clean, spacious and the playroom was full of board games and stuffs for kids to play with. The daily movie time was very good with good quality and sound. The movie choices were good too. We loved our stayed there and we stayed for a week! Best Scandic hotel of all the Scandic that we have stayed.Guest review byKhanhFinland
- From $282.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 310 reviewsSuch a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.Guest review byNina ParkDenmark
- From $357.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 5,369 reviewsEverything was perfect, from start to finish. Hotel is nicely located right in the center of the city, while being extremely quiet. Staff was second to none, so we felt at home. Everyone was very friendly, and paid attention to every details. Breakfast was excellent. And there was even a cosy/happy hour so guests can get to know each other if they want too. During our stay, we parked the car and used our bikes to visit the city.Guest review byPascalNetherlands
- From $238.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 370 reviewsThe place is very cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to make anything happen for us. We had different room types and all of them were freshly renovated. Cool sauna with sea view with the possibility to jump into the sea afterwards. Also the food was incredible, the had a limited menu as it was opening weekend so we tried literally the whole menu and everything was delicious.Guest review byMichaelRomania

We had a great time in Copenhagen.
We had a great time in Copenhagen. There's something there for everyone! Whilst there we hired a bird watching guide, met up with Uffe and spent 6 1/2 hours pedalling around seeing the wonders of Vestamager Nature Reserve. There's numerous museums and we particularly liked the Natural History Museum of Denmark and was lucky to see the 'Wildlife Photographer of the year' exhibition which was fantastic. The museum of happiness was whacky and interesting. It's easy to get around the city and it's outskirts using the Metro, buses, trains or bikes which you can hire from numerous outlets, often including your hotel. The people are very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are very expensive which was to be expected. We paid nearly £14 for three generous scoops of ice cream!!Guest review byGillianUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)Guest review byOliviaUnited States - 6.0
A city famous for its castle.
A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.Guest review byJanCzech Republic - 10.0

It dark in these time of the year, but it is a great and green place. Friendly people and possibly nice path for recreations. I were business there though. I would say the staff in the 7 eleven at the station I do like the best, however at late card terminal may not be operation. Feeling safe.Guest review byMihályFinland - 10.0

The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so, it was very easy to get to central station which gives you access to all the trains that will get you to where you want to go. You can catch a train direct from the airport to Tastrup train station and walk less than 5 minutes to the hotel.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I just need at quiet place to rest, wasn't on sightseeing... I'm not specifically interested in Ballerup at this moment... And therefore it was a bit annoying that the house was so noisy - late at night as well as early morning... The staircase especially was making a lot of noise.. It made me feel nervous that somebody was coming down to me - a lot of times...( I was in basement! ) I couldn't open a window either, just the door if I wanted some fresh air, and that wasn't very nice either... The room (s) were too big and 'spread out' in different 'sections', and that wasn't cozy in my eyes...There wasn't a 'night-lamp' near the bed that worked, only a lot of spot lights in the ceiling... Not that cozy even if the volume could be turned down... The man of the house seemed very nice, I met him on the way to the house, - as I was asking for advice concerning some road-maintenance obstacles that were in my way to get to the house. So they are most likely were nice people ... But I guess a big part of my disapointment comes from the fact that this stay was more expensive than a night in Hotel Zleep - also in Ballerup, 3 weeks ago...There I had a quiet room, no sound from the building, view to a lake, nice bed, a window I could open, GREAT BREAKFAST INCLUDED, everything clean and everything easy and flexible in terms of checking in and out etc. Much easier and more comfortable for me... So I will chose that next time...Guest review bySusanneDenmark - 10.0
Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed.
Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a small shopping area with a supermarket, small restaurants and every convenience very close. It’s a bit out of the city centre, so maybe not ideal if you are sightseeing in Copenhagen, but it’s on a bus line. My only small gripe- the pillows were small and we could have used two each and the winter bedcovers were too warm for June. Otherwise a great hotel where we will definitely stay again.Guest review byLynnAustria - 6.0
Not much around. It's a shopping centre.
Not much around. It's a shopping centre. There is greve strand (beach) nearby but we didn't go. 30 min drive to Copenhagen. The kebab in the shopping centre was quite good but not many other places to eat.Guest review byA_N_DroidUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Location and the grounds is very nice.
Location and the grounds is very nice. The breakfast is ok but served between 7-9am. Room was big but outdated. TV has few channel and no bluetooth. Two person bed was separate spring mattresses that kept drifting apart. Bathroom is not up to standards for this kind of location and price range. Its a conference hotel more than it should be. Ordrupgaard Art museum is super close as is the beach. Lousiana art museum little ways and Bakken amusement park as well.Guest review byAnnaFinland - 8.0
Its a beautiful City, quite and peaceful.
Its a beautiful City, quite and peaceful. Fresh air and very good food. People in general are very quite and well educated too. The only thing I didn't like is that its very expensive to live in. Life in general its very high price. To go out for a couple of drinks, to do shopping to go an eat somewhere its very expensiveGuest review byRuthMalta
