I had a wonderful stay at Fano Kroogard. This is lovely waterside boutique hotel on the island of Fano. It is perfectly situated on the North side of the island. It is 5 minutes by walk from the ferry and 20 minutes by bike to the beach, with bikes available to rent on site. The whole property has a calm and cozy ambience. There is a reading nook on the main floor, and a terrace overlooking the waterfront. The decor is so well done with so much attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. If you manage to get a suite overlooking the water, you’ll be able to take in the wildlife of the Wadden sea, and see seals out your window. There is a restaurant on the main floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a hotel guest, the breakfast in the morning is a choice between several local inspired dishes. I had several different meals at the restaurant and every time the food was delicious. For lunch they offer traditional open sandwiches and for dinner several vergetable and seafood entrees. The restaurant is clearly a favourite spot on the island among locals, as it was always full. Above all, the staff is so lovely and they made my stay extra special. They upgraded me to a lovely room with a seaside view and provided excelled recommendations of things to do on the island. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

Very luxurious, comfortable beds, great location. Better for couples or friends with older children. The soft sound inside the cabins were really enjoyable. It was like being inside a soft pillow. The outside terrace was spacious and private even though there's cabins all around you.

Great small B&B, my room was relatively small, but I was travelling alone, it is perfect to sleep and sufficient to relax. Excellent breakfast, very clean room, quiet and close to the center. Sigita, who checked me in, was very sweet, attentive and helpful with information. She noted the option for basic self-catering cottages which you clean yourself have no heating and I could check first if I needed something different (e.g. property offers various options: camping, basic cottages, hotel rooms, full seaside cabins, etc.) Although it was very cold for October, there was plenty of provided bedding (bring your own linen or rent). It was simple but sufficient with a couch, bunkbeds, table, amazingly quick kitchen appliances (supermarket & bakery only 100 m away), patio, and plenty of communal bathrooms that were maintained regularly by a friendly gentleman. For an additional fee, you could access an indoor pool with a steam room, spa treatments, outdoor sauna, bicycle rental, laundry, and various tours including a horse ranch nearby. There is also an outdoor pool and restaurant which opens for breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner. I thought it was excellent to have all these amenities on-site if wanting to stay in a bit more of a quieter part of the island but best to have a vehicle or rent a bike as local transport varies on seasonal schedule if exploring.

I loved the place. If anything - I loved it even more than Legoland. I had high expectations for Legoland, but didn't expect much for this booking. However, the waterpark was absolutely amazing! Our children (toddler to school kids) and all of us the adults had so much to do there. The house we stayed in was also spacious, clean and well equiped with lots of outdoors area to enjoy. There were goats, minigolf course, supermarket, playgrounds, cafes and so much more on the premises. Also a little train shuttle to transport people between the activities and the residential areas. I definitely recommend!

I didn’t know much about Aarhus before visiting, but wow – what an amazing surprise! The city has such a friendly and cozy vibe. Everything feels calm and easy, yet there’s so much going on. The locals are super nice and always ready to help, which made my stay even better. I loved walking around the Latin Quarter with its cute little streets, colorful houses, and cool cafés. The ARoS Art Museum was incredible — especially the rainbow walkway on top! You get the most beautiful view of the whole city. Getting around Aarhus is super simple — you can walk or bike almost anywhere. It’s clean, safe, and full of good energy. I really felt like I could live there! If you’re planning a trip to Denmark, don’t skip Aarhus. It’s a perfect mix of culture, nature, and that special Scandinavian charm. I can’t wait to go back one day!

We were really happy with our visit to Vejle.

We were really happy with our visit to Vejle. I had read that it was an interesting place to visit but was still very surprised how much was going on during our weekend. I love visiting cities I can walk around and Vejle is easily walkable. Walking from harbour (east side) to the Cultural Museum (west side) was a bit too far for our 5 year old to do in one go without needing a snack but overall a great city to visit with a family.

Kolding is a small city, but blended with different dynamic ambiance, people of different diversities are living there. Convenient transportation, old and beautiful Danish buildings for artistic pleasure, a university (SDU) and a public library for intellectual enjoyment. Walking along the roads in the central part or wandering around the lake are always very soothing. Besides, Koldinghus is a very worthy choice, where radical architectural designs back up the old brick wall, new lifestyle merges well with the tradition. They even have a live performance show mimicking the old royal life.

The town itself is dull and unremarkable, completely lacking character. The main attraction is Legoland, which is truly worth recommending. The Lego House absolutely amazed me—we had planned to spend 4 hours there but ended up staying for more than 8. The area around the town is green, with pleasant campsites. I think it’s an interesting place for cycling trips, but I wouldn’t want to stay overnight in the city center.

A town with historical significance and many pearls within walking distance. For a couple of days, walk the pedestrian area, visit "Latinerhaven" and Skovgaard Museum with the works of "guldaldermaler" P.C. Skovgaards (and family) and continue to Domkirken and see the frescos made by his son. Domkirken has visible history back a 1000 years. Stroll the well preserved middle age cobble stone streets. Go to the Borgvold park at the lakes and enjoy the calmness. Nice restaurants e.g on "Nytorv" from traditional Danish ("Fru Thomsen") to Italian ("Kehlet"), and specialty shops (sour dough products at "Simpel Surdej" and beer tasting at "Viborg Bryghus" - note, only open on certain days)
