- From $220.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 311 reviewsSuch a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.Guest review byNina ParkDenmark
- From $162.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 754 reviewsA wonderful place like in a fairy tale! The rooms (in the annex where we stayed) are beautifully crafted, comfortable beds, delicately chosen curtains and bathroom equipment; maybe a little tight if one would wish to spend some time working at the desk. Nice location with beautiful views in nature (mostly domesticated nature of the golf-course). Helpful with parking at the location. The gym looks as beautiful with all classical wooden equipment.Guest review bySergeNorway
- From $172.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 371 reviewsThe place is very cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to make anything happen for us. We had different room types and all of them were freshly renovated. Cool sauna with sea view with the possibility to jump into the sea afterwards. Also the food was incredible, the had a limited menu as it was opening weekend so we tried literally the whole menu and everything was delicious.Guest review byMichaelRomania
- From $172.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 536 reviewsThe room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was good. Staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was closed so they recommended getting a takeaway through Just Eat, which worked out really well. Any questions or requests were dealt with efficiently. Breakfast was amazing! With a huge, delicious selection of food on offer.Guest review byCassaJonoUnited Kingdom

Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)Guest review byOliviaUnited States - 6.0
A city famous for its castle.
A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.Guest review byJanCzech Republic - 10.0
Beautiful location, fun bungalow.
Beautiful location, fun bungalow. Area was cold and windy in July 2022 and the beach directly below was rocky .. But again beautiful location. Very warm in July 2021. so just matters the year for weather..Guest review byM Johansen HUnited States - 6.0

It is small town with pretty harbour and expensive few shops/ restaurants. The best is a fish market/ shop at the harbour where you can buy a nice meal. If you visit outside season there is no atmosphere at all and it is too quiet. We went to Helsigor to Helsigor, bigger with more atmosphere. In season is pretty, family oriented beach. The beach is nice but we were warned not to swim as currently it has a bacteria affecting a number of people! There were no signs at the beach but two locals adviced us not to risk bathing!Guest review byElenaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Historic buildings extremely interesting, nice architectural design of the town, close location to many potential places worth sightseeing. A little bit too poor availability of restaurants, in particular on weekends. Very unfortunate system of payment for parking lots in town, complicated in operation and not always working. Personally I was very displeased with necessity to install mobile apps.Guest review byMirosławPoland - 10.0

The restaurant offered original dishes created by the in-house chef. We had the special of the week which was chicken in a delicious cognac and mustard cream sauce. There were also many other options to choose from including the house burger and french fries which looked very good too!Guest review byChristinaDenmark - 6.0

Nice town but there really isn't that much to do in out of season (which is July and August) - sea is too cold to swim and had some bacteria in it. The town itself is nice but the harbor is really where most of the action is. There is nothing to do when the weather is rainy. We've spent 3 nights in Hornbaek and found ourselves driving to Helsingør every day to enjoy good coffee, museums, etc.Guest review bypetr_svecCzech Republic - 10.0

Helsingør is a lovely town with beautiful medieval buildings, lots of nice shops, cafes and restaurants. It's by the sea, so has it's own beach, a large castle, museums, bike hire, a cultural centre and it's very quick and easy to go to Copenhagen by train, or to Helsingborg by ferry, or to visit some of the nearbypretty coastal villages by bus or train.Guest review byMalinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Absolutely worth a visit for anyone who has not been before.
Absolutely worth a visit for anyone who has not been before. The perfect addition to a Copenhagen trip as it is not far and you can drive back along Strandvejen, the coastal road all the way back to the city via some wonderful stops. Enjoy!Guest review byAnabelleUnited Kingdom
