I've been to Roskilde for the festival every years since 1992 and also as a tourist off-festival. It's a cosy small Danish town with lots of restaurants and pubs + few sightseeing locations like the cathedral and the Viking museumGuest review byJimiGermany - 10.0

I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.Guest review byBirgittaAustralia - 10.0

We drove to Stege and Mons Klint from Copenhagen - an easy drive and well worth the trip. We loved the GeoCenter and the cliffs themselves. We probably could have spent a little more time there to enjoy the many trails and time on the beach. We only had a few hours; a full day would have been better, but the time we had was well-spent. In the late evening/early morning we headed to Dark Sky Nyord to catch a glimpse of the amazing Milky Way and we were not disappointed! Stege itself had lots of nice food options. We enjoyed pizza at Restaurant Pizzeria Defino and were impressed by the bustling business they were doing. It's apparently quite popular with the locals too.Guest review byBrooks - 4.0
I do not recommend.
I do not recommend. Everything is far and hard to reach without car or bicycle If you want to see Mons Klint, try to stay near there. Or just do a day-trip from Copenhagen, starting early in the morning.Guest review byMihoDenmark - 6.0

The town is not very interesting but it is close to the ferry which was an advantage to me. I recommend that you avoid the Rödby Steakhouse and Pizzaria, on Östergade, the main street. I went there for a quick meal. The waitress and the cook were polite and friendly but the owner seems dishonest. He refused the payment by card and he asked me to pay cash in euro. He gave me the change, coins, in Turkish lira instead of in euro. He made some 3 - 4 euros by this trick which is really small money, but it caused a very negative impression. It is sad and a pity.Guest review byPeterSweden - 10.0
Lovely quiet place at the end of a dead road.
Lovely quiet place at the end of a dead road. Only traffic passing by is for 2 other houses. Beach and nature right outside the door. Copenhagen only half an hour away by train. Shopping mall less than 2 km away. Several supermarkeds in the area. We had a car to get around. If you are there without a car you would have to walk between 1-2 km to get to the train station and shoppingGuest review bySusanneDenmark - 10.0
Such a charming little city with so many historical sites!
Such a charming little city with so many historical sites! We were there for a little over 24 hours and could have done with 1 more day for sure. We visited the fjord, the harbor, the Viking Ship Museum, and took a short walk through the city center on the first evening. For the next half a day, we went to the Ragnarock museum (a must-visit), Roskilde Cathedral (another must-visit), and went on a stroll around the city center. I always check out the Indian food scene at a new place, and we went for lunch at Namaste Roskilde and they didn't disappoint! Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway (for people living close to Denmark).Guest review byBiswas - 10.0
Lovely small city with some great restaurants.
Lovely small city with some great restaurants. Lovely scenery and relaxing vibe. Ferry just south to Germany was above our expectations. We were recommended Restaurant B but you need a reservation...the place smelled of excellent cooking! They recommended we try Bangs Have...awesome place with a very good Chef and Luisa the maitre di/server was outstanding. She gave us top service and good choices. Loved our meal and the location on the water and in the trees is Magical!! Try this place you won't be disappointed.Guest review byMaria - 10.0
As a town, Greve has a lot to offer anyone visiting.
As a town, Greve has a lot to offer anyone visiting. The town centre has supermarkets and a central bus station. So if someone wants to travel without driving. They hopped on a bus and I saw a new bus stop being built on several roads.Guest review byWILLIAMUnited Kingdom
