I had a wonderful stay at Fano Kroogard. This is lovely waterside boutique hotel on the island of Fano. It is perfectly situated on the North side of the island. It is 5 minutes by walk from the ferry and 20 minutes by bike to the beach, with bikes available to rent on site. The whole property has a calm and cozy ambience. There is a reading nook on the main floor, and a terrace overlooking the waterfront. The decor is so well done with so much attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. If you manage to get a suite overlooking the water, you’ll be able to take in the wildlife of the Wadden sea, and see seals out your window. There is a restaurant on the main floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a hotel guest, the breakfast in the morning is a choice between several local inspired dishes. I had several different meals at the restaurant and every time the food was delicious. For lunch they offer traditional open sandwiches and for dinner several vergetable and seafood entrees. The restaurant is clearly a favourite spot on the island among locals, as it was always full. Above all, the staff is so lovely and they made my stay extra special. They upgraded me to a lovely room with a seaside view and provided excelled recommendations of things to do on the island. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

Loved the architecture and design of the building and room. Our room was a bit small and compact but it’s well-designed so all cabinets and drawers are hidden. people on the front desk were very helpful. Hotel is near several bus stops (different lines) and 25 minutes away from the city center by foot. The Plates restaurant at the top floor served decent breakfast and dinner with a nice sunset view by the harbor. I think their rate costs less than other hotels in Denmark.

Sigita, who checked me in, was very sweet, attentive and helpful with information. She noted the option for basic self-catering cottages which you clean yourself have no heating and I could check first if I needed something different (e.g. property offers various options: camping, basic cottages, hotel rooms, full seaside cabins, etc.) Although it was very cold for October, there was plenty of provided bedding (bring your own linen or rent). It was simple but sufficient with a couch, bunkbeds, table, amazingly quick kitchen appliances (supermarket & bakery only 100 m away), patio, and plenty of communal bathrooms that were maintained regularly by a friendly gentleman. For an additional fee, you could access an indoor pool with a steam room, spa treatments, outdoor sauna, bicycle rental, laundry, and various tours including a horse ranch nearby. There is also an outdoor pool and restaurant which opens for breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner. I thought it was excellent to have all these amenities on-site if wanting to stay in a bit more of a quieter part of the island but best to have a vehicle or rent a bike as local transport varies on seasonal schedule if exploring.

The design of the hotel amidst a quiet neighborhood in Kampen. The room/bathroom were very well appointed and well stocked with welcome chocolates, water & coffee. We enjoyed the beautiful breakfast served in the breakfast room/terrace. Homemade marmalades & honey, fresh breads & rolls, cheese, cold cuts and eggs made to order. Attention to detail everywhere you look, leaving nothing to be desired. The spa/pool/sauna area is wonderful as well. Private parking on site. Bring your own or rent a bike through the hotel and explore this most beautiful town on Sylt. The Kupferkanne Restaurant is a 15 min walk away and the adorable neighborhood invites for ong walks. The staff went above & beyond to make our stay a memorable one. A bakery & Italian restaurant are just a few steps away from the hotel. Highly recommend!

Very nice hotel close to both beach and harbor. The staff was very helpful, friendly and competent. The room was spacious and had a good view of the ocean. The balcony even had very comfortable deck chairs. The bed was big and very good. The bathroom was really nice,, big and worm. Very good shower, too. There is a supermarket in the same building (back side), which means ample parking and a good source for the sundowners on the balcony :-)

The island is nice with wonderfull beaches, but we were disappointed about Nordby. On mondays and tuesdays most cafees are closed or close very early. Not very tourist friendly. Fanø Bryghus is a very nice exception. They are open all week and have very nice beer.

A very nice place to visit ,one of my favourites on my trip .It is good to see the seals .I recommend you hire a bike if you don't have a car .Great places ,for walking . and history as in the German WW11 bunkers .There was an open air play when I was there .Nordby is a nice town .You only pay for the ferry to Fano ,not the return .Very frequent crossings . It has good scenery. good walks good for animals ,if you like swimming ,sailing history ,fishing ,forests then this,is for you .

Very comfortable and spacious twin room, beautiful food and very helpful staff. Hotel was friendly and cosy with lovely places to sit and relax inside if weather outside was cold and wet. It was the middle of winter and it snowed while we were there, but the hotel was warm, inviting and relaxing. I wished we had been able to stay longer and I would love to go back.
