The interior is faboulous, bed is very comfy, room is clean, and there is a small coffee pod machine, with some amenities. The breakfast was incredible, croissant was very delicious. I didnt expect the breakfast provide variety of foods. The view from rooftop was incredible. Its a nice hotel and value for money

Great neighborhood for short strolls and couple of both local and pizza restaurant across the way, which were equally as good value. The attendant Said Ali made the stay. Speaks English, kind like most other Algerians, and very helpful!! Good breakfast. Great value for the cost.

I stayed at Hotel Sidi Yahia recently, and it was a great experience. The hotel was very clean and located in a safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It's also close to many embassies, which adds to the security. Although it's a bit far from the city center, you can easily get there using affordable taxis. But what I liked the most about the hotel was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and professional. They even let me check in late and check out very early in the morning, and they helped arrange a taxi to the airport. They also spoke English, which was a big plus. The breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and comfy. There was some construction noise across the street during the day, but it didn't bother me because I was out exploring most of the time, and the noise stopped at night. Overall, I would definitely stay at Hotel Sidi Yahia again. It's a clean, safe, and friendly place to stay with helpful staff and good amenities.

I liked the cooperation and communication with the staff, they mistakenly charged my credit card and ad I was intending to pay in place with local currency, immediately after I messaged them they made the refund. Also at night it was a bit cold and for some reason the AC did not work, they got one safe heating device and made my stay very comfortable. It's perfect for airport transfer. It is my place to go now for the same reason. Thank you everyone for the good treat and humble approach.

    The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful. Every single person I came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and kind. I arrived late after a delayed flight, but Hichem was extremely helpful and understanding. He answered all my questions and spoke with me at length to make sure I had everything I needed and to set up a city tour and airport transfer for the following day. He kindly extended a late check out to me since I was arriving so late and would need to rest after 2 days of travel. His English was great and he gave me great advice that made my first day in Algeria very easy. Thank you! The bed was comfortably firm and the shower was nice and hot. Very nice room with views of the city and sea that was perfect.. An ample breakfast for a reasonable price was also offered.I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I ever return to Algiers.

    One of the best hotels in Algiers! I cannot recommend this hotel ENOUGH! Especially Anis our front reception who has helped from everything with arranging transportation, miscellaneous requests and even helping us find a hairstylist and brought her to the hotel! Ask for him when you stay with the hotel. Their hospitality is one to compete with the Sheratons and Hilton’s of the world . Number one in Algeria! Better than Marriott which was super disappointing and would not even match the level of service of Lamaraz … we cannot wait to come back soon!

    We flew to Algiers from Gatwick, in order to catch the train...

    We flew to Algiers from Gatwick, in order to catch the train to Oran. Train journey was great - took about 6 hours to Oran, and the return journey took eight hours... Spent very little time in Algiers real, but the City Hotel was well located for our needs to travel via Agha train station. A fascinating country - not a tourist destination - and actually, all the better for that.... very friendly people, who are particularly welcoming to English visitors - once they recognised that we were not French... There is still a lot of (quietly and discreetly hidden in general) resentment evident from the French colonial era... (Photos below are from Oran).

    Great city with good vibes, lot's to see and visit.

    Great city with good vibes, lot's to see and visit. The buildings are magnificent and getting lost in the narrow streets of the Casbah (Citadelle) is a great experience. I will definitely go back to Algiers to explore more. It felt very safe walking around and people were very welcoming and kept on repeating "Soyez les bienvenus!" with a big smile on their face.

    Huge & vibrant city!

    Huge & vibrant city! Beautiful colonial French architecture & on the other hand old Cahbah of Algiers which you should visit as well. It is a unique kind of medina, Islamic city. There are monuments to visit & also typical traditional Casbah houses & have a great view to the city from the terrace where you can enjoy a drink! There are many interesting spots to visit in Algiers & around Algeria (from museums, monuments to mosques). There are many local restaurants with reasonably priced food & you can do shopping of souvenirs or some brass or silver if you like it.. Just be aware that they drive very fast & do not keep distance between cars like in Europe, they drive fast & too close car to car behind & it can make you very stressed & nervous!
