I do not know any other town, where you can see two medieval castles in good condition from two different countries watching each other over the river. Nice promenade. Bastion Viktoria. Kaar cafe. Fabulous view of the river from Ranna Resto terrace.Guest review byilia.vRussia - 8.0

Narva-Jõesuu has a very long sandy beach with lots of room for privacy. It is a small and nice and green town to walk around and enjoy life. If you do not want to splurge, would recommend restaurant Lemmik where two people can eat for 20-25 Euros (without drinks). Coop is a large grocery store in the center of town where you cand find everything. There's a very good separate bikeway along the main street through the town and there's also a very nice bikeway along the roab to Narva beside Narva River.Guest review byPriitEstonia - 10.0

Johvi is a small town, but it surprised us with a very modern concert hall and a few other buildings, large modern shops, a stylish bridge, and attractive lingonberry lamps and chairs. Everything was clean and tidy, the snowy paths were cleared. Drivers patiently let us cross the street. It seems that the residents love their city.Guest review byGundegaLatvia - 2.0

I was so am disappointed to be out in a wooden chalet across a field!! Instead of a hotel room in the main building..certainly not what I thought I had booked. The English speaking staff were friendly and efficient at dinner and breakfast, others frowned. My evening meal was very good. I imagine that if you were given one of the 12 hotel rooms it would have been a completely different experience. I advise that you clarify this.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sillamäe is a real favorite among Estonian towns - its architecture is so special and beautiful, and the many parks, allés and flowers make it even greater. Sillamäe is also a good place for swimming. People are nice and Russian-speaking, a language with a beauty.Guest review byPer DanielEstonia - 8.0

Narva is a mix of several unique historical places (castle, town hall, Krenholm manufactory) and grim Soviet concrete architecture. The promenade by the river deserves special attention, you can see another castle on Russian side and an endless string of people crossing the border on foot. There is a multi-kilometer nice sandy beach 15 kilometers from the town (in Narva-Jöesuu). You can rent bikes and tour all these places in a few days. Not a lot good places for eat, but Rimi's ready-to-eat food is ok. Note you must book Krenholm manufactory visit in advance at castle's museum.Guest review byEino25Finland - 10.0
the visit is different depending on the season of the year.
the visit is different depending on the season of the year. during the summer it is a beach vacation with a lot of people visiting the city. during the off season the place is a bit more deserted, but not completely empty very scenic views and great air, wonderful place to relax and unwind there are several Hotels and SPAs that you can stay in and enjoy even more relaxation and saunas Narva-Jõesuu is different from what it was 5-10 years ago and happy to see it actually improving. there is still plenty to be doneGuest review byStanislavEstonia - 10.0
Nice little coastal town with newly built promenade.
Nice little coastal town with newly built promenade. Plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in and around. Diverse architecture examples from different periods, unfortunately, not all well looked after. Overall, a good place for a relaxing holiday.Guest review byTatianaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Narva castle and Lutheran church were in our must-see list.
Narva castle and Lutheran church were in our must-see list. Needless to underline the Kreenholm manufacture that was a true landmark. Narva-Jõesuu is in a close range and perfect for day at the beach leaving a lot of space for everyone. Overall decent value for money considering any alternatives either in Pärnu or Southern part of Estonia.Guest review byReisija07Estonia
