- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 137 reviewsMy late husband and I had visited the Concorde many times in the past and as is the custom for loyal guests, we got to plant a tree in 2018. We skipped a year because we went to Thailand the following year, and in 2020, we all went into lockdown and were once again unable to visit our beloved Concorde. We both contracted Covid and sadly, my beloved husband passed away. This year, I felt emotionally ready to return and contacted Ahmed El Marakby (the Front Office Mgr) to tell him that I would be visiting with two friends. Ahmed was on leave, so he asked Saad Eldin Mohsen (the Assistance Front Office Mgr) to handle the booking. He was so kind and empathetic and made sure that every detail of our stay was taken care of. This has to be my all-time favourite hotel! The rooms are very spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. On this particular trip, Mohammed Rabie (the Housekeeping Mgr) had the room decorated so beautifully, that I was totally overwhelmed! The bathrooms are also fabulous and everything is extremely clean. The grounds are beautiful and the view of the sea is magnificent. I love this hotel because it's not a huge resort, yet you have absolutely everything that you need. There is ample space so that you don't have people sitting on top of you and you don't have to walk for miles to get a bit of peace and quiet. Yet it is far from dull and boring. The animation team offers a lot to keep you busy. The food is exquisite, a huge variety. The quality was amazing with something for every palate. Make sure you have at least 1 dinner in the Italian restaurant, run by Alaa. The evening entertainment will keep you involved and amused. The Concorde has always felt like home to me, so this is where I wanted to erect a plaque to honour my husband. Saad, Mohammed (the chief gardener) and the engineering team assisted me and even constructed a frame for it. I am eternally grateful!Guest review byAnnie RuurdsSouth Africa

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 63 reviewsThe diving facilities, staff, organization, equipment, access to Nitrox bottles and house reef easy access were excellent. A divers paradise! The brand new speed boats with impressive 300ps engines are awesome. All inclusive food buffet was overall good. Chef Mohammed gave us extra amazing attention and provided on request fresh grilled fish, fruits etc. I celebrated my Birthday there and the kitchen organized a lovely (huge) cake, which was a lovely gesture. The Chalets are good size and definitely worth the extra price to stay a bit warmer if you are here in January where evenings get cool. Bed was a bit too squeeky though. Hot water and good pressure in shower were very much appreciated!Guest review byDelarosa84Switzerland
- From BGN 298.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 88 reviewsThe Oasis is the perfect dive resort. It is small and familiar, not an overcrowded party resort. There is really little else to do than diving. Staff are phenomenal, food is excellent and mostly Egyptian (being vegan I always found food to eat). The diving is great - staff are super knowledgeable and it's very safe and fun to dive. It's a safe spot for solo women travellers and the crowd is a bit different from the usual divers:) overwhelmingly German speaking tourists but everyone speaks English as well. We were there for the second time, which we don't usually do, and I have and would recommend it again. Thanks to everyone!Guest review byMonaSwitzerland

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 381 reviewsThe rooms are basic but spacious and clean. The food was fresh and tasty, every meal you have different choices of meat or fish and vegetables from which you can choose from, and you have a wide range of desserts which are delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they support you with everything you need. We even asked them to organize the transfer from the airport for us and it was perfect. The beach is just gorgeous and easily accessible for kids in different parts of it, you can see corals and fishes even swimming from the beach.Guest review byMariaIreland

The complimentary upgrade to a family room was a delightful surprise. I liked the availability of free, high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the premises and the well-maintained pools and beach. I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...
I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))Guest review byAnnie RuurdsSouth Africa - 8.0
Some places offer excellent takeaway food.
Some places offer excellent takeaway food. There is a public beach a little further away (a short walk across a small desert area) with exceptional underwater flora and fauna. Bring shoes for walking in the water. Please stay above or near the coral (personally, I didn't know there were risks to swimming too far from the reefs, namely sharks. But I didn't see any. On the other hand, there were some exceptional fish! Port Ghalib is a tourist spot but much, much quieter than Hurghada. If someone tries to sell you something, just say ‘La, chokram’ with a smile and everything will be fine. Don't forget to tip a little, as Egyptians earn very little (around €400 per month for a family of four). For activities, I recommend Royal Sea Tours (royalsea-tours.com), who are really great. Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.Guest review byMennaEgypt - 4.0

The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.Guest review byRolandSwitzerland - 8.0

"I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès.
"I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès. There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. All the staff are adorable, attentive, attentive both on the beach and by the pool as well as in the various restaurants, not to mention the maintenance staff and gardeners, the cooks, the waiters (mention special for Ahzem from the main restaurant, Abd Allah at the pool restaurant, Mostafa who is part of Mahmoud's team, Hod Hod on the beach and many others of whom I don't really know the spelling of their first name. are all very courageous, with a sense of humor and kindness like I have rarely seen. Everything is put in place so that you only want to do one thing... come back as quickly as possible."Guest review byValérie LannoyBelgium - 6.0
I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t...
I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t like. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.Guest review bySmile08Czech Republic - 10.0
