The place is really authentic and very relaxing. Gabalawy the owner is extremely nice and very helpful and always wearing a wide friendly smile on his face. The food is wonderful and tasty. The rooms are clean, nice and the beds are comfortable. Have been talking about this experience all the time since we left. Will definitely go there again.

Nour el Balad is an absolute gem tucked away from all the crowds. The guesthouse is a traditionally built home with lovely little details and decorations everywhere, and palm furniture including the beds. The breakfast included is delicious, but make sure to stay for lunch or dinner — the roast duck and molokhiya are absolutely outstanding! Luxor’s restaurant scene isn’t amazing and we ended up eating dinner at Nour al Balad every night of our week-long stay. Abdullah and his team offer warm hospitality and can also help with transfers and taxis as needed. We have stayed there twice now and can’t wait to return!!

The hotel felt like we were staying in Cleopatras castle. It is very unique and beautiful. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and very accommodating to all our needs. The rooms were beautiful, huge bathrooms and the bed was very comfortable. I miss this place so much already! The food was great too!!! The dining area is beautiful. Everytime we needed something, or a ride, the staff made sure we were immediately taken care of.

The location is fabulous and we were so well looked after. The views are stunning, the rooms clean and spacious and the breakfast was amazing. I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse on the West Bank of Luxor! The rooms were spotless and offered a stunning view of the nearby mountains. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, perfect for staying connected during my trip. One of the highlights was the delicious local breakfast, which was both generous in portions and rich in authentic flavors, plenty of fruit! Several excellent restaurants were within walking distance, making it easy to find a great spot for lunch. The manager was incredibly helpful, always available to answer questions, he also arranged a guided tour for me, Mohamed the guide was very knowledgeable. I felt safe and well-cared for throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Luxor!

I really love the location, right in front of the valley of queens, and close to most of the temples on the West Bank. It’s very quiet at night. Sitting at the roof top, watching the nice view of the valleys is unforgettable for me. And also in the morning you will see lots of balloons rising with the sun. The breakfast is great. The owner is amazing, very helpful.

Ali and Karima were excellent hosts. They created a personalised itinerary for us to see all the big hits in Luxor. Ali went out of his way to plan our travel to Aswan as well organising airport transportation. The prices were also very fair. The food for breakfast and dinner were amazing and all the produce was organically sourced. We will definitely miss our breakfasts with a view and our hosts the most! Thank you again for your warm hospitality and we recommend this place to anyone travelling in Luxor.
