- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 266 reviewsWe made a point of staying at casas rurales during our Basque country travels and Jesuskoa was one of our favorites! Not only were the buildings and rooms exceptional in regard to style, comfort, and details, but also the grounds were spectacular. We had traveled via bicycle from Bilbao on our way to San Sebastian and the proprietor made sure we had a safe place to store the bikes (as well as charge e-bikes). Our stay happened to coincide on one of the evenings when the Casa didn't provide a dinner service but the proprietor helped us with a reservation at a nearby restaurant and even offered us the use of a property vehicle to drive to the restaurant and back so we wouldn't have to bike on the dark country roads at night. The next morning the breakfast was phenomenal and certainly provided us with the energy to cycle to our next destination! Despite our short stay, we will fondly remember our experience at Jesuskoa and would love to return for a longer visit if we find ourselves again in the Basque country!Guest review byManishaUnited States

Santiago is a vibrant city with numerous travellers arriving at all times from the various caminos that finish at the Cathedral. I found the prices in cafes and bars to be reasonable and not inflated as it is deemed a tourist destination.Guest review byDonaldIreland - 10.0

San Sebastian offers a city break with everything. Wonderful Basque culture, beautiful architecture, wonderful local food and wine, great shopping and access to beautiful beaches. Would recommend trying Pintxos and Txakoli and seeing more of the city with Go local ebike tours.Guest review byGlackin - 10.0
Santander is a popular resort for mainly Spanish visitors.
Santander is a popular resort for mainly Spanish visitors. It's an attractive city with plenty to see and do. It's family friendly too. It's easy to get to nearby Bilbao, or to Potes in the mountains. There are fast and frequent coach services all over the region. It may not attract A list celebrities or have the glamour of San Sebastian, but it has plenty of appeal if you are looking for a sun and sea holiday, and pinxtos too!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
I read about Oviedo in a British newspaper.
I read about Oviedo in a British newspaper. It is in an area of Northern Spain that is rich in history and architecture but is not frequented by tourist from abroad. Not many spoke English, but that is a good thing, showing that the area is not primarily populated by local residents. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Cathedral, Archaeological Museum, Art Museum and a ninth century church. The Old Town is full of old buildings that are still in use and is very pleasant to stroll around in.Guest review byPiersUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired.
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.Guest review byPamelaCanada - 8.0

O Pedrouzo is a small town on the way to El Camino De Compostela. We only needed to stay one night and that was enough. I'm not sure if there were much to do in town. We tried two restaurants El Bule and Galaicos that serve traditional Galician food. Prices were fair and food was good.Guest review byJuan - 10.0
Beautiful historic buildings on the historic pilgrim way.
Beautiful historic buildings on the historic pilgrim way. Dining out was on the expensive side. Three days would have been about right as you can see most of museums within that timeframe. Poor public transport so a car is a must.Guest review byGerardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel was right on the harbour so it was great to have look around the boats ect. A short walk uphill into the town and you find plenty of bars and good restaurants. If you dont fancy the walk into town there are 3 good fish restaurants on or around the harbour. If you have a push bike there's plenty to explore like the lighthouse ect.Guest review bykevinUnited Kingdom
