I feel that I found a hidden gem in SempreFisterre!! It is a beautiful place but what stood out most for me was the owner's kindness and warmth. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you have everything that you need and that you are comfortable. She is genuine and has such positive energy. Secondly was how welcomed and nurtured I felt by having a 24/7 open 'kitchen' area. It is well stocked with a really good coffee maker.....espresso!!...home-cooked pastries, fruit and snacks. You can go in anytime and get anything you want....so early morning coffee or afternoon snack or midnight treat for when you just need a little something. Makes you feel so at home. I would go back here without hesitation if I ever were to return to Finisterre.

Nowadays, it's hard to find comfort and great service in a perfect location for a reasonable price. Let's suppose you were lucky enough to find it. Now, add many extra toppings to your experience, and voilà! You have unforgettable holidays! Yes, there are still people who care for their clients and their business. We sincerely have to thank Puri and Suso for their passion and dedication: their delicious breakfasts in the house, the lovely evenings in their cozy restaurant next door, the Galician cheese we bought in their shop, the cleanliness of the formidable room, the impeccable garden with the old granary (hórreo), the convenient parking lot at the entrance, the route advice, the long chats, and their human kindness. We sincerely recommend this place. Try to keep the secret, though!

The hotel was very comfortable. The room was large, with a nice terrace with an ocean view. We ate at the restaurant twice and the meals and service were good both times. Their laundry service was reasonably priced and easy to use. The staff was exceptional. Everyone, from reception to the wait staff, were very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. They took great pains to get us a taxi to the bus station on the day we left since it was pouring down rain.

The cabins are well designed. The place is comfortable and clean. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. Dinner was excellent, home made. We ordered salad, fried calamari and grilled fish. Dessert was devine. Unfortunately, we were not able to eat breakfast at the cabin. We wanted to resume our pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela early and breakfast is offered by 9:00am. I highly recommend the place.

It was a great location, close to the harbor and restaurants and cafes. The room was large, as was the very comfortable bathroom with a large shower. Breakfast not being included was just fine, since there were good options just down the street--and it was nice to have the opportunity/need to patronize one of them.

Fisterra is a quaint, small fishing town, with regular daily catches. So near the harbour is does smell of fish but many of the local restaurants have a great reputation for sea food. There are several great places to walk for the day; coastal paths, beaches (Fora, & Arnela) are a good walk (3-6 miles) but really worth it. Stunning scenery.

This is a lovely little town with a cosy feel tucked in 2 kms from the cape at the end of the peninsula. It has a magnificent long white sandy beach with pristine waters and a smaller sandy beach near the port. Lots of eateries and cafes, and an all-round feeling of joy and relief among the visitors who have just ended their camino. I have been twice and loved it both times.

We loved Camariñas, which we found to be the perfect base for exploring Galicia and the Costa da Morte. A pretty little fishing village and lightly touristed, the food was very good, of course fresh seafood, and hiking directly from the town on the Camiño dos Faros was excellent, yet we found to be surprisingly lightly trafficked for such a pretty coast. Further excursions both north and south were also available with scenic good roads, and for us included Cabo Fisterra, about 40 minutes away.

If you are looking for a quiet, seaside town with all the amenities, Laxe is a good place to visit. It has nice bars and cafes and a couple of small supermarkets. It is great for campervans as there is plenty of free space to park up. The area offers some great walks and amazing sandy beaches which are virtually deserted.

Lires is a lovely little village in a great location. There are lots of good walks you can take around the area, the Camino de Santiago runs through it. The beach is nice and there is a bar / restaurant there. We had spent two weeks walking the Camiño and wanted to visit Finisterre for the sunset, the day trip timings didn’t work so we hired a car from the station in Santiago, drove 75mins, stayed the night and drove back to the airport the following day. It was the perfect end to our trip.

    Beautiful coastal location.

Beautiful coastal location. Though main beach wasnt very clean - litter and dead bird. Different local beaches were fantastic though - like a dream location. The Cape Finisterra lighthouse was a tourist attraction that ruined it. Nice markets. Restaurants were ok, though often wouldn’t let you sit just for a drink. Overpriced. Buses were a nightmare to manage and everyone waiting were confused where to go and which bus to get, with not very helpful drivers, though the bus stop was right in the centre which is great. Sunset boat rides. Everything needed was central. Supermarket, ice cream shops, restaurants, banks, ATMs, cafes, hippy store, market, hotels etc.
