- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 207 reviewsI have stayed here several times before. According to an official rating of the Spanish Government, Anso is "one of the most beautiful villages in Spain". And it is true. This visit I deliberately traveled the day after holy week so the village was very peaceful. The Casa Rural is located about an 8 minute walk from the central square which is just the perfect distance in high season when the village is full of tourists. The GR15 (a major hiking trail thru the Pyranees) goes very close to the Casa Rural and gives excellent access to the high mountains between Anso and Siresa (which is another little village well worth walking). Zuriza and Linza are a convenient drive away. I always come using a small mountain bus from Jaca but there is convenient parking on the property. The Casa Rural itself has a lovely bedroom (with a very comfortable chair for reading in the evening if it is chilly out) and a comfortable king sized bed. There is a living room with a very nice kitchen. And the bathroom is very clean with a heated towel rack - quite a luxury after hiking in the mountains on a chilly day. One of the owners (Blanca) is a potter and has a shop nearby; well worth perusing as her prices are very reasonable and the work is superb. I always try to pick up something to take home as a gift and my friends have always been pleased with her work. Her daughter now works with her which adds an additional creative input.Guest review byekaterina puffiniUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 197 reviewsWe loved the location, view and it was a clean and comfortable room. The restaurant was great and the team at the pension were super friendly and welcoming. They made it a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, which means a lot to us. The parking was easy and Isaba is amazing. I highly recommend staying at Prnsion Txiki.Guest review bytamaraUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 730 reviewsGood value priced hotel across the street from the train station. Breakfast also a good value for 7€, although I do wish that hot eggs were on the menu (hard boiled were offered). Good place to explore the town from. Lots of free public parking right across the street. Good for one night.Guest review byDianaFrance

A pretty little town in the Pyrenees.
A pretty little town in the Pyrenees. Good local amenities, eg supermarket that stayed open late, little shops, bars, and restaurants although we mainly did our own cooking in our appartment. Immediate walking from Canfranc Estacion would be difficult as it's in a steep sided valley, but a short drive to Astun takes you to the base of chairlifts which whisk you up into the glorious mountains and access to hiking paths at the top- really lovely. Visitors might enjoy the sheep and mini horses with bells around their necks- quite a surreal sound!Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great for families with children or beginners in general.
Great for families with children or beginners in general. Lots of offer for beginners and also good for advanced skiers, but beginners have a big separate area that is very safe for first times. Also, excellent teachers at the Escuela de Esquí Candanchu. They are very good with children. If you are looking for lively apres-ski, better to stay in Jaca. However, Candanchu is the perfect place to avoid hassle in the morning, right by the slopes, good facilities and fun. You can pop down to Jaca in the evenings if looking for other activities (ice skating, visiting the Citadelle, the cathedral, good restaurants, etc).Guest review byCristinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Anso is a wonderful little village in the heart of the Spanish Pyranees. I did not have a car but there are wonderful walks starting and ending from the village. For those people with cars, there are easy day trips to the high mountains. There are wonderful restaurants in Anso - the Kimboa and the Marberal come to mind as particularly delightful. And if you have a car, there are bordas within 8km of Anso up the road to Zuriza that serve absolutely splendid traditional Spanish cooking in a rustic setting. I am 77 but if you are younger, the Grand Route from Anso to Fago and the Grand Route from Anso to Hecho are not miss day hikes that I have done when I was a bit younger. The owner of the Casa Rural Turreta is a potter who makes absolutely wonderful things - and very reasonable!Guest review byekaterina puffiniUnited States - 8.0

Siresa was a base for me to enjoy nature and wildlife photography. It was ideal to visit the Pyrenees. Travellers should be aware the area is fairly isolated. There is a small mini market in nearby Hecho. My hotel provided picnic lunches which were ideal. There are a few restaurants scatter in the valley. Almost everything closes on Sundays not just here but also in the nearest large town of Jaca.Guest review byCiaranIreland - 8.0
