It was amazing to arrive in Portomarin and dip my feet in the river. It was the best foot spa experience I have ever had. Great spot to rest when walking the Camino from Sarria. It was perfect for me as I was looking for a peaceful place...
It was perfect for me as I was looking for a peaceful place to have some rest and a base for going to Santiago de Compostela which was only 1 hour drive from Chantadel. Friendly and accommodating owners. Although there wasn't much of a view owing to narrow streets the hostal is charmingly situated in the old town with the castle rearing above it. We only stayed one night, whilst on our way on The Camino.
We only stayed one night, whilst on our way on The Camino. The room was clean, the shower very good pressure and the beds comfortable. The only problem was a musical festival in the town that went on until the very early hours but that couldn't have been foreseen.
