- From $123.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,513 reviewsExtremely charming castle. The rooms have a castle-like feel, which is what I was looking for. I don’t want to enter a castle and have my room be like the Hilton. The castle is just amazing, as is the breakfast and dinner, abundant. A rustic feel, but so confortable and charming. And the different halls in the castle are decorated with the most amazing old furnishings and decorations. Many medieval-like places to hang out.Guest review byJasonUnited States
- From $82.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 6,097 reviewsLarge, well appointed room & bathroom with large, comfortable beds. Very helpful staff and an in house parking garage, 16€. There is an off street area in front of the hotel to unload and the elevators go from the floors to the garage, which is handy. Good buffet breakfast 12€ and decent restaurant for those cold, rainy nights when you want to stay in.Guest review byGinaUnited States

I had visited very briefly while I was a child and always wanted to go back. It was better that I remembered. The historical buildings, cathedral, university, Casa de las Conchas, or the surprising Art Deco Museum, were great - and what to say about Iberico ham! If you have the opportunity to visit the nearby factory do not hesitate - you will learn why the ham deserves the high price you pay for it! I didn't have the chance to visit nature areas around due to the wild fires, so I hope I will return in a no so distant future.Guest review byRosa Maria - 8.0

The Medieval Fair was on the weekend we were there with free events and people dressed in costume roaming around the streets which made it very special. The streets were decorated with flags and the mood was warm despite the downpour on the Sunday, It was perfect to view the buildings, walls, bridge and castle during this time and to get a glimpse into life back then in this environment. The road that google told us to go down was closed because of the festival but a friendly local got out of his car to talk to us - in Spanish - we couldn't understand much but enough to know to follow him on an alternate route and it took us to the apartment. True Spanish hospitality from a complete stranger.....Guest review byCollinBAustralia - 10.0

Bejar was ok as a jumping off point.
Bejar was ok as a jumping off point. If we were to come back to the area we would probably stay in Candolario,. a small town that is more picturesque and only 13 minutes away. The visit to the Plaza del Toro was definitely worth the time as was walking the wall of Bejar.Guest review byMad JohnUnited States - 10.0

A hidden gem in the Salamanca province. One of the most beautiful villages we have ever seen in Spain. So spotlessly clean, so nicely-kept and we particularly liked that it was not full of souvenir shops.Guest review byACFamilySpain - 10.0

We were travelling from the Algarve to Santander to catch the ferry to UK. This was a perfect place to stopover as it was about 2/3rds of the journey. We set off mid morning, arriving around 1900, in time to relax with a drink on the lovely terrace before dinner in the dungeons (excellent meal - best to book your table online with the castle directly). After a leisurely breakfast, it was an easy 3.5 hour drive to Santander to catch the afternoon ferry.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom - 4.0

This a motel, not hotel. Bed and parking only. No food available unless you walk approximately 5mins along an unlit main road. Restaurant closes at 6pm on a Sunday. Check in is done remotely via an intercom and camera. If you do not understand or speak Spanish you are on a hiding to nothing. Positives: Parking is guaranteed and very secure. This is our first time of staying since Covid and we will not be returning after our experience this time.Guest review byDaveGibraltar - 10.0

Salamanca is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Just take the chance to walk and get lost in its old town and follow the steps of those who started medicine and physics. Is jut majestic and fun.Guest review byMontserratUnited States - 10.0

A very historic building set within the fortifications of an old Napoleonic Fort, with helpful and pleasant staff, lots to look at in and around the hotel, and a walk up the stairs of the tower is well worth the view, even though you will be gasping for breath, only a short walk to the center of town and all the Bars, Cafes and Restaurants More of a personal note really, they (Europeans) don't get what ‘well done’ means in relation to food, when the menu says comes with jacket potatoes you do not expect half a potato, however, it must be said the wife’s lamb shank was cooked to perfection and her other half of the potato looked okay. One potato between two people looks like we're going back to the Irish potato famine! I must also add in fairness here they did not charge me for the meal as I did not eat most of it Well worth a visit and walk around the town and battlementsGuest review byStephenUnited Kingdom
