Santiago is a vibrant city with numerous travellers arriving at all times from the various caminos that finish at the Cathedral. I found the prices in cafes and bars to be reasonable and not inflated as it is deemed a tourist destination.Guest review byDonaldIreland - 10.0
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired.
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.Guest review byPamelaCanada - 10.0

O Pedrouzo is a small town on the way to El Camino De Compostela. We only needed to stay one night and that was enough. I'm not sure if there were much to do in town. We tried two restaurants El Bule and Galaicos that serve traditional Galician food. Prices were fair and food was good.Guest review byJuan - 10.0

It was amazing to arrive in Portomarin and dip my feet in the river. It was the best foot spa experience I have ever had. Great spot to rest when walking the Camino from Sarria. There was a couple of people singing and playing a guitar under a bridge and that made the whole experience even more romantic.Guest review byMaryIreland - 10.0
Large room comfortable beds with quiet a/c.
Large room comfortable beds with quiet a/c. Warm day loved the pool. Breakfast stated at 0700 and excellent choices. Nice to get on Camino by 0730. Easy walk to bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!Guest review byHicksUnited States - 10.0
We only stayed a night because we were on the Camino.
We only stayed a night because we were on the Camino. We would have wanted to stay longer, the city had many historic places and old churches, but a many were closed (we were there on a Sunday). There was a farmer's market which had many interesting artisanal food. The cafes were bustling - we only had time for churros con chocolate (where we ordered double because it was sooo good) - but there were many food places - bakeries, pastry shops, cheese, jamon, and everything in between. Would love to come back and spend more time in this beautiful city. The city was bounded by mini forests which was a joy to traverse, with the trail dotted by chestnuts.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
A good place for couples whether pilgrims or not.
A good place for couples whether pilgrims or not. Susana who runs it is so helpful it makes life so easy. The hotel where we ate was very popular with locals and visitors and the food and wine were great. I would revisit but I have now been to Santiago more than once and another visit is probably not on the books. Sadly.Guest review byCaroleUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lucia was a gracious host.
Lucia was a gracious host. When we arrived exhausted from a day’s walking, she welcomed us with cold drinks and a relaxing smile. Check-in was a breeze, and we were taken to our comfortable room to recover for the afternoon. Lucia is an exceptional chef! The supper she prepared us was delicious and the breakfast was over the top gourmet. Maria was attentive and charming with her supper service. What a great oasis on the Camino Del Norte!Guest review byLaurelCanada - 8.0

Lavacolla is, I’m guessing, mainly used as a stop off before pilgrims continue their walk to Santiago. It’s also very close to the airport so useful for beginning and end of the Camino. The bar, A Concha, near the church and bandstand does good food!Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom
