- From $194.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 652 reviewsMe and my husband visited Almunia del Valle in mid February and we stayed three nights. We were greeted by a very polite and friendly staff who showed us around and told us about different things we could do while staying at the hotel. We decided to do the "La Ruta de los Cahorros de Monachil", an 2.5-3 hour walk along the Monachil river and mountains (absolutely fantastic views and crazy yet wonderful terrain!). The owner Patricia gave us a map and pointed out every turn and route to follow. As the hotel is located between Granada (around 7 km) and Sierra Nevada (around 24 km), it is possible to enjoy both city life as well as the nature. We went hiking everyday and it was very easy to find different routes to enjoy. We had dinner at the hotel all three nights and we were delighted every time. The waiter Paolo was kind and attentive and helped me pick out the perfect wine to accompany the meal. He also made a great gin and tonic! The last night they served "secreto iberico" and it was the tastiest pork we had ever eaten, so succulent and cooked to perfection. We definitely recommend having dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was also great with a variety of breads, fruits, pastries, yoghurt, juice, coffee, cooked options etc. The hotel was very clean and our room was newly renovated to a high standard. Even tough it was cold outside, the hotel felt warm and cosy. The decorations in the hotel are also well thought through and we really felt that it was our second home during our stay. Apart from great food and the excellent location we cannot emphasise enough how amazing the staff really is. Patricia is a lovely owner who takes pride in her work and treats her staff with respect and isn't afraid to ask for feedback in order to improve her service. We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back!Guest review byIda EngströmSpain
- From $96.42 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 251 reviewsMy stay at Casa Rural Fuente la Teja was absolutely wonderful — so relaxing and calming, surrounded by nature and just steps away from an observation deck with the most breathtaking sunset views! Mieke and Mark are truly exceptional hosts. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, accommodating every need, cooking delicious meals, and sharing great recommendations for hikes, sightseeing, and activities. They even helped me with a car issue — something I’ll always be grateful for! My room was cozy and inviting, with a balcony overlooking stunning views where I loved reading my book. I slept like a baby. The Casa is also very dog-friendly, which was such a joy. My dog was treated like a guest himself, free to explore and even spoiled with treats — he loved it as much as I did! The saltwater pool, with its panoramic mountain views, was another highlight. Spotlessly clean, with a shower, plenty of loungers, and umbrellas, it was the perfect place to unwind. I also noticed they provide games and toys for children and adults alike. Next time, I’m hoping to return with my kids to share this hidden gem with them. Highly recommended!Guest review byAnne-LaureFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 32 reviewsWe were greeted by our friendly host who welcomed us with a plate of fresh fruit. We had house 2 upstairs and loved it. We also had access to the courtyard incl BBQ and pool, just perfect! The house was super clean and the location quiet. Easy access to the town and the countryside, plenty of parking, only the way down to the house is a bit narrow but manageable and ok. The two bathrooms came in handy for 4 adults.Guest review byChantalAustralia

We missed our turnoff and so it took a while to backtrack to find it. The staff was friendly at the restaurant and the food there was good.. A clean, basic cabin with a bathroom and walking distance to the resturant. Beautiful countryside drive.Guest review byJamesUnited States

We visited and skied in Pradollano during peak season. It was a very enjoyable and interesting experience, although there was not a great deal of snow during our visit we still managed to enjoy our time there during the weekdays. The weekends look particularly busy so if you don’t like a very crowded ski field might be best to avoid the weekends.Guest review bychristineAustralia - 10.0

The most perfect place I have ever stayed!!
The most perfect place I have ever stayed!! I almost don't want to write a review because everyone will want to go! :) This was my second time here, and it has become my sanctuary and my happy place, I plan to return every year if possible. The gourmet breakfast is delicious, with different options available every morning, fresh juices, fresh fruit, and excellent coffee! Dinner is fabulous with excellent service, tasty Michelin level food, beyond expectation! The place itself is perched up on top of the hill very close to a beautiful hiking trail called 'Monachil Los Cahorros' - (anyone can do this trail whether you want to do a shorter or longer route). The hike has hanging bridges, caves, streams, uphill and downhill routes! The most tranquil and beautiful spot you will ever visit, whether its a solo trip like me or with family, friends or a loved one! The most amazing views from the hotel (which is a boutique sustainable hotel) - The bed was an absolute dream, and all the rooms are perfect, with beautiful detail!Guest review byKhalidaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Our first day ( arriving ) to Cenes de la Vega we dined at the hotel and no regrets, very good food and service, good atmosphere and surrounding area, mountains view, private parking and the staff was amazing. We spent our day 2 starting at 10.00 AM, at Alhambra, Generalife, Nasrid Palaces and 5 hours later Cathedral of Granada, must to see. After the Granada tour, we went down to the Cathedral of Granada and the rest of the day in the old centre visiting tapas bars, cafés and dinner before we turned back to our hotel.Guest review bySimbuz1962Iceland - 10.0

If you are looking for a somewhat rustic village, this is for you. Quiet and quaint! The beautiful mountain location is great for hiking and relaxation. The local road to get up to the ski area is an uphill slog of narrow, curves, sometimes a one lane road, hairpin turns. In wet weather it is not a good choice. The apartment is clean, some of the furniture looks old, but it is not described as a luxury stay, so this was expected.Guest review byLisaPortugal - 8.0

Be careful driving through the narrow, winding streets. some of them get narrower as you go and you may have a hard time turning around. The locals are friendly and helpful even if they don't speak English. So are the Police. They arrived quickly and got our car out of a tight alley/street.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 4.0

I only picked La Zubia because it was on my way between Malaga and Valencia. I hade landed the same day after a night flight. Narrow streets are a bit difficult to drive through when you are very tired and sleepy. Maybe the town has something to offer, but I had no chance to do so.Guest review byNabilCanada - 8.0
