The old town is amazing with lots of history and wonderful...
The old town is amazing with lots of history and wonderful architecture. You can lose yourself wondering around the narrow streets to suddenly discover another small bar or restaurant. There is no shortage of high end restaurants in this city either. Lots of small shops selling unique items up to the Colon area with all the department stores and branded shops. You must go to the central market to try all the fresh food. When all that activity is too much you can hit the lovely beach with clear waters and miles of sand. A drink at the beach shack is optional but after a hard day in the sun there is a selection of restaurants to choose from. It's a compact city so even the surroundings are easy to get to with plenty of taxis and very good public transport.Guest review byRajeevUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Hmm, it was my first time.
Hmm, it was my first time. It was fun but just right for a long weekend (in my personal opinion) I was with friends so it was cool and we had fun BUT its not what I look for in a beach holiday. It did feel busy (wasn't uncomfortably crowded - Beg of Sept) but plenty of people. Umm its your typical comfortably english holiday. Plenty of restaurants and bars and the beach was nice and clean. I think its def better than I expected and the service throughout Benidorm was pretty good. Everyone seemed friendly just very built up and did have that sorta 80s feel although I can see they are modernising it a lot (The Barcelò hotel is a good example of this) Felt the age range was either "lads first holiday OR older couples who enjoy visiting Benidorm every year" Didnt see a mid crowd. Again, not a problem just explaining my opinion. Overall, its fine, you get what you need if you just want some sun, sand , drinks and food. I was with some gay mates who went for Gay Pride and that made it pretty fun but did feel Pride wasnt really represented as much but it was ok. My friend experienced his first homophobic experience on the lift of the hotel. It was innocent by some young lads who dont know better but it was his first time and we were surprised being that Benidorm is so gay friendly. Its a very big mix of different types of people so I suppose its expected. Otherwise - fun place to go with some good mates who let their down and just go with the flow.Guest review byLuisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A very nice city with a lot of history, nice food, friendly people and of course with amazing beaches. I went with the purpose of just enjoying the beach and the sun and ended up finding a lot about the history of the city, meeting amazing people, tasting delicious food and beer and basically falling in love with the region. It definitely make me want to come back and also discover other cities and towns on the south of Spain. I recommend doing a guided tour on the first days of your stay because, independently of the guide they will always tell you which places you should visit, which restaurants to try, what kind of activities to do, which beaches to visit and how to get there. It really opens up your possibilities. Alicante was definitely a positive surprise for me and I truly recommend a visit.Guest review byMárciaPortugal - 8.0

The old town was great in the evenings. The castle and gardens a great place to visit especially around sunset. So many places to eat and drink. We also loved the beach and the whole place friendly and welcoming.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great location for families.
Great location for families. Los locos beach has a playground, beach bar and is easily accessed. Los locos is a short walk along the promenade to La cura beach, where there are more restaurants, shops, and a family friendly beach with paddle boats. There is also another playground on that walk. There is a water park, Friday market and funfair in the area also.Guest review bySineadIreland - 8.0

Town pretty, bars, restaurants choices, marina nice with good restaurants, surrounding area very pretty, orange orchards and quaint villages, mountains stunning. If English speakers, learn some Spanish as not widely spoken, we learned minimal but made an effort, seemed to appreciated for efforts.Guest review byclark - 10.0

I had such an amazing time staying here in Spain with my parents! The apartment was perfect—super clean, comfortable, and cozy. The room was spacious, and I loved how everything was so well thought out. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, making us feel like we were part of their family. They even made sure we had everything we needed, from fresh bed sheets to little touches that made the stay even more special. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our time here. I’m so grateful for the hospitality and can’t wait to come back! Thank you to our wonderful hosts for making our stay unforgettable!Guest review byAlexey DanUnited States - 10.0

Castellón is a very pleasant town with many small piazzas decorated with modern sculptures and plants. There is a good choice of lively bars and restaurants. We left the car in the hotel underground car park and walked everywhere. The old town is traffic free, with electric buses.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom
