Our Aurora cabin was right on the lake and very clean. The special windows allowed us to watch the Aurora as we slept. Great cabins to get the best views. The breakfast was delicious with a great spread. Our dinner was inclusive in our package and great value. Highly recommend the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and one time when we wanted to change the dinner menu for the night, they were very good about it. Will definitely return here in the near future

We stayed a night here, to break the long road journey from Levi to Tromso and ended up seeing the Northern lights similar to what is in their profile picture, right from the hotel! The staff were so awesome that they felt like family. The rooms were very comfortable and ours was at the end of the corridor with a big window overlooking a snow clad hill. There is a warm seating area next to the reception, with a real fire place, giving it a great vibe. A lot of activities (as much as you can expect from a 150- person tiny village) on offer around the place, which also is the NW most point of Finland and right next to the borders with Sweden and Norway too. There is a bus change at Kilpisjarvi when going to Tromso or the other way round, and the bus stops right at the hotel. Overall we couldn't find a single negative to list out. Special mention to Niila and Sari - thank you from our hearts. The spruce ice cream dessert at dinner remains the best dessert we have had traveling across EU, in the past two weeks!

Comfortable, charming, and sweet accommodation in a great location. The proximity to the train is amazing as it is just a few steps away from the platform and yet the room is quiet and super easy to navigate. The cafe is delightful, breakfast is lovely, coffee is solid, and the gift shop is great with local items and handicrafts. Definitely the best place to stay in Kemi.

Hotel was exceptional in relation to activities for our 10 year old twins. From bowling to swimming pool with slide and soft play area with great value of €5 per child for 24 hours. Rooms were very spacious for the 4 of us with great facilities in the room. Great selection for breakfast with buffet style. Staff went above and beyond with any questions or requests we had. Loved the personalized service we received from Reception. He answered all of our many questions! Breakfast was delicious and loved that there was a restaraunt connected to the facility as well. The spa was closed, but was able to book multiple massages that were amazing! Our apartment was lovely! Loved that the bus dropped us off right by our location from the airport in Ivalo.

Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. At end of July, sunset around midnight for only a short time, which is cool.

Saariselka is a wonderland in winter.

Saariselka is a wonderland in winter. You can easily get all the required things such as food from K-market. There are lots of activities you can do in Saariselka such as skiing, snowshoeing, Ice Karting, bowling, Aurora Hunting tours, etc. You can easily reach here from Rovaniemi City by using public bus. There is a Ski bus that runs between Saariselka village and Saarselka Ski resort. I did my beginner ski lesson here. It was great. I spent my Christmas holidays here and most things are available to do. I did my skiing on Christmas day itself.

Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience.

Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience. The village is located in the far north of Finland, in the heart of Lapland. It is a popular destination for winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. The area is also known for its stunning scenery, with snow-covered forests, frozen lakes, and the majestic Saana fell. One of the highlights of a winter trip to Kilpisjärvi is the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. The village is located in an area with minimal light pollution, making it an ideal place to view this natural phenomenon. The Northern Lights can be seen on clear nights throughout the winter, but the best time to see them is during the darkest months of December and January. Kilpisjärvi is also a great place to experience the Sami culture. The Sami are the indigenous people of Lapland, and they have a rich history and culture. There are several Sami villages in the area, and visitors can learn about the Sami way of life by visiting a reindeer farm or a traditional Sami market. Overall, Kilpisjärvi is a wonderful place to visit in winter. It is a great destination for those who want to experience the beauty of Lapland and enjoy a variety of winter activities.

Inari is a little place, surrounded by amazing forests and lakes. It is certainly a must if you want to get to know Saami culture better. It also perfectly fits for those, who like nature and long walks. Although it is small, you can find pretty many activities there - from taking a boat trip in Inari lake in the summer period, to visiting Side museum and doing northern light hunting in winter. PaPaNa pub is also a must to visit.

So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle. Just above you while you are on bed or few steps from your cabin. Just install the northernlight alert app and go enjoy your stay within the premises , it will sent alerts for the area you’re in and that’s what we did. Realy great experience and so magnificent to see the dancing colorful northern lights . Breathtaking . The location is perfect away from the city however the city center is not too far only around 5-6 kilometers.

We were in Muonio in the summer time. It was difficult to rent a boat for fishing. There are little tourism activities in the summer. After 5 nights with fishing, riding a bike and a small hiking, we had explored the area. I think, Muonio is much more interesting to visit in winter time.
