It is across the way from the train station, so it is very convenient. The hotel is large and the rooms are modern and clean. We had great breakfasts and also visited the hotel's sauna for an extra 15 euros. It had two hot tubs, a cold tub, sauna, steam room, and an "experience" shower not to be missed. I have been visiting Joensuu since 2012.
I have been visiting Joensuu since 2012. In the winter season, the city looks very beautiful as it gets covered with a fantastic blanket of snow. The sight of the frozen river is just stunning! A small town in East Finland that has some good restaurants and local coffee shops but there is not much to do. The town is not touristic and there are not that many places to visit. The city was big enough to provide all the amenities we needed without being too big. People were friendly. We could access anything within walking distance of the hotel. As cyclists, we were so happy to see so many bikes out even in winter!Guest review byTobyUnited States
