- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 435 reviewsMaui Palms is an absolute gem on the Coral Coast of Fiji. The warmth and kindness of the staff was the highlight of the stay. They truly go above and beyond to help guests feel welcome. Throughout the stay, all of the staff are accommodating and find ways to fulfill your requests. Around the property, the staff would stop to check on you and see if you needed anything. Being a solo traveler, I felt safe during the entire stay. I arrived before the regular check-in time and there was just a short wait before they were able to move me into the room I reserved. As part of check-in, they set up a WhatsApp chat with you so that you can make requests (spa, meal orders, schedule transfers, etc.). Responses were prompt and Chris even sent the daily activities schedule, which helped me plan my day. The property is small and low key, which makes it a good place for disconnecting and relaxing. The room I reserved was one of the oceanfront villas. The view from the deck and inside the villa was lovely. The king size bed was very comfortable and there is an air conditioning unit up above. Staff were always busy maintaining the property, keeping the walkways and open spaces very clean. The flowers around the garden were so healthy and beautiful. Activities The activities were well thought out. They included water activities, reef walks, a waterfall hike, cultural demonstrations and also offered massages. The guides, Aku and Felix, lead a snorkel through corals that are alive, beautiful and teeming with colorful fish. There are so many bright blue fish as well as clown fish and others. Aku and Felix point out sea cucumbers, urchins, clams and starfish along the way. The reef walk was fascinating as well. Many thanks to all the staff at Maui Palms, Aku, Felix, Matai, Sonali, Vasiti, Neel, Chris and others for being so friendly and welcoming. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer. What truly made our stay exceptional was Viti at reception. She was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She went out of her way to arrange a shark dive for us outside of her working hours and even lent us her personal travel book. Her kindness and effort made our experience truly special. Highly recommended!Guest review bynicolasUnited Arab Emirates

The food was delicious, plentiful and lots of options for different diets. My daughter loved the blue slide and pool. The gym, spa, entertainment areas and bar were very good, well-placed and convenient. My massage at the spa was amazing. The nighttime entertainment was very good and timed well for families and the children's bedtime.Guest review byKimAustralia

The staff working there was very friendly and polite. Just to mantion a few ladies: Maraya, Mereiva and Vini. They always had a smile on theire faces and treated you like if you were a member of the family. We were in Beddara twice duering a period of 6 weeks. We will miss this place and the people working there.Guest review byMarekCanada

The daily activities are fun and well organized. The Burre we were in was clean, large and well kept. Our accommodations were simple and sufficient. I have been to both Suva & Nadi and definitely think this area is much better. Good range of places to stay. Great beach especially where we stayed (Bedarra Inn). Sigatoka is the home of rugby & 7's and the locals are awesome.Guest review byGRACENew Zealand - 4.0

A beautiful beach spoilt by floating litter and rubbish in the water. I have seen this often around the world and understand that it is a side effect of a bigger issue. I consider myself quite resilient but did not feel comfortable swimming here. Would be a good photo op if not intending to swim.Guest review byAdamAustralia - 10.0

This is a great option for those not wanting a smaller island holiday. Allow a good hour to transfer to/from Nadi Airport. If you're wanting to visit a local town, Sigatoka isn't that far away. Take a taxi, go to the local market and look around the shops.Guest review bySusanNew Zealand - 10.0
Overall, it was a great trip.
Overall, it was a great trip. Several onsite restaurants catered to all types of palette, friendly staff, good food and beautiful resort. Lagoon water was warm and great for a light swim/dip. We stayed in a lagoon facing burre - great views and lovely room. Infinity pool, Fish bar was the highlight of the trip.Guest review byManiNew Zealand - 10.0

We loved the area as it was not too busy, Maui Bay had a supermarket, open area restaurants and the Indian/Thai restaurant on the main road was amazing. We hired a car for 4 days and saw lots of the area and met many locals and found some great swimming spots that had lots of sand without too many rocks/corals.Guest review byAnthonyAustralia - 8.0

Sigatoka sand Dunes National Park well worth a visit, exceptional landscape & heritage significance; a number of well maintained trails lead out from the visitor centre, with attractive coastline and mature beach forest to the west (plenty fruit bats at dusk!). The place is easily accessible from Sigatoka town , with regular, cheap mini buses running along the highway. If your'e into archaeology, like me, there's also the Tavuni hill fort located close by, besides Naroro village in the lower Sigatoka Valley.Guest review byStefanAustralia - 10.0
We had a great stay!
We had a great stay! The room was superb — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. As locals, we really appreciated the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Ed, the Manager, was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It was the perfect spot for a quick getaway without having to travel far. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors looking for a relaxing stay.Guest review byJane - 8.0
Lovely village with friendly people on a great beach.
Lovely village with friendly people on a great beach. Food in the resort is not great and there is no where else to eat within walking distance. I would hire a car and then visit some other places to eat. Its quite a way off the main road and you would need a taxi to get there but then you can use bus system.Guest review byJoNew Zealand - 8.0
