- From $272.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 1,961 reviewsThe location was fantastic right in front of the sea in front of the main promenade. Our room was amazing with a huge balcony an sun loungers overlooking the pool with an amazing view of Hondarriba in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We did not eat in the hotel as we decided to get a water taxi for €2.30 each across to Hondarriba which was buzzing with atmosphere and plenty of gastronomical delights to choose from. We really enjoyed the Thalassotherapy pool which was included in our room price. This was amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have as long as we wanted here as the hotel receptionist on the morning of departure could strangely only organise our taxi for a certain early time although we requested it after check our time so we could fully avail of the Thalassotherapy pool. We thought that she could have been a bit more helpful as the staff on the previous day were extremely nice and understanding and helpful. The hotel breakfast buffet breakfast was quite pricey for us, even the cheaper option of the coffee/croissant was €8 but there are plenty of cafes nearby to choose from. Overall we had a fantastic stay.Guest review byErikaIreland

I knew when I went back to Arcachon I wanted to stay in the same location. They have a laundry room, and the rooms are a good size and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a place we look forward to stay at. It’s close the the gare and the ocean, also just outside the market.Guest review byGypsieCanada

Bordeaux was a great city to visit!
Bordeaux was a great city to visit! We went on an excellent wine tour to Saint-Emilion (Get Your Guide) and the meeting spot was so close to our hotel (bonus!) The Musee d'Illusion was so much fun! Unfortunately, our Get Your Guide river tour(Yacht de Bordeaux) was very disappointing because there was nobody at the meeting spot (in the middle of the street/tram line by a recycling bin and electric box). That was our first ever experience where a Get Your Guide tour seemed to be a scam. The company said that they emailed us but we didn't receive anything. Go with a different river cruise company!Guest review byRobynCanada - 8.0

Plenty of places to visit choice of restaurants and bars, transport system good plus great value. We could have used a bus from airport and change in Biarritz to our appartment location sourcing that info easily would be a benefitGuest review byGary - 10.0

Bayone is a very historic city in the French side of the Basque Country. The old town is charming with plenty of chocolate shops. Saturday all the shops are open but Sunday the town is shut down so plan accordingly. We visited the Basque museum on Sunday - well worth a visit.Guest review byCristinaUnited States - 10.0

Unfortunately, I was only here for a weekend trip, and I didn't have time to visit many of the local sights. A lovely area, especially if you like hiking. Biarritz is a 90 minute drive away and, of course, the Pyrenees are only a few hours drive away, too.Guest review byJitinderUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Loved the dunes.
Loved the dunes. Very difficult to park but our holiday was in peak season so understandable. Quality of food not great and expensive. The best meal we had was at the dunes and that was the cheapest too. Lots to do for everyone but next time we would go out of high seasonGuest review byROYFrance - 10.0
2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed.
2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed. Crowds on market day are crazy unless you go to first thing in morning. The €5 panoramic glass lift is worth it. If you’re vegetarian or like plenty of salad/ vegetables you will struggle with all the restaurant menus foie gras and duck feature heavily.Guest review byIslayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a very pleasant little town on the South-west coast of France. Its beach is nicely sheltered from the wild Bay of Biscay, making it safe and attractive. We stayed in a central hotel with easy access to some lovely bars and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. It's an easy drive into the countryside; we climbed a mountain called Larrun, part of the Pyrenees, then easily back to St Jean de Luz for a swim and out for dinner! Also some good local shops.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We know the area and were primarily there to visit a friend.
We know the area and were primarily there to visit a friend. We were on a budget so had to use public transport, which turned out to be super easy to use. You can pay with cash or bank card directly on the bus (you can only buy one ticket with a bank card, however) or you can buy a loaded card with ten tickets (which you can use for more than one person) at machines at train stations, principal stops and tobacconists. Timetables are given at bus stops and are accurate. Make sure you know when the public holidays are, as these affect public transport considerably. The bus journey to Biarritz station is less than half an hour (depending on the route they take) and from there you can travel quickly and inexpensively to St Jean de Luz, Bayonne and elsewhere. The three towns I have mentioned are so close by, yet so contrasting and are all worth a visit. The number 36 bus (a little further away from the apartment - maybe 8-10 mins walk) give you access to beaches up the coast, like La Madrague. I used Google Maps a lot and found its advise re: public transport super helpful. My teenage girls loved the frothy hot chocolate at Chez Cazenave in Bayonne, https://www.chocolats-bayonne-cazenave.fr/4-nos-chocolats. On our last night, we ate at Casa Juan Pedro, http://casajuanpedro.com/en/home, in Biarrtiz's old port. They were welcoming, and the food was delicious and simply presented (our party includes seafood enthusiasts and picky eaters).Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom
