A wonderful refuge of calm, tranquility, and welcome when returning from the crowds of Calvi. The common spaces are beautifully designed, as are the rooms. The staff are friendly, helpful, and welcome you with an authenticity that made my stay unexpectedly delightful. The iced "spa-water" set out throughout the day was a lovely bonus on a hot day (a thoughtful gesture). This family run hotel is tended with care and pride.

The hotel is remotely located, so it is very quiet at night. It was about 20 minutes drive to the nearest town ile de Rousse and 25 mins drive to the beautiful beach pladge de bodri. The pool of the hotel is amazing, a good place to chill after a day at the beach. The house is a pretty rock house, the room is well equipped and spacious. The hotel staff were nice and friendly, although most of the time I did not understand what they were talking about in French.

Everything was wonderful. Deluxe Double with a seaview was amazing. Close proximity to a wonderful beach and just a short walk along the shore to old town and the citadel. Special kudos to Sophia and Katia at the front desk (so friendly and helpful), Eva in the breakfast area and Annie who took care of cleaning our room. All of them were very warm, professional and added considerably to our fantastic experience.

    Wonderful helpful and smiling staff everywhere in the hotel. Everything was clean in good order. Pool was lovely with plenty of shade if you wanted it - and is bigger than it looks. Value wise - fantastic. Bedroom was roomy and cleaned thoroughly everyday and towels and linen always fresh. Breakfast is a good continental buffet - possibly a little bit overpriced if you only want a coffee and cereal as you have to pay a set price. We enjoyed it!

    A beautiful, clean hotel with secure parking and an elevator. The receptionist was extremely friendly recommending a fabulous restaurant for dinner. Just a short walk away. The grounds are lovely with a pool. They were kind to provide ice and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic not just a croissant and coffee. Eggs, meat, cheese, croissant, bread, cereal, fruit, coffee, of any kind, etc., etc..

    Calvi’s an ideal place to just hang out, cafe and resto hop, go to the beach or walk the lovely lanes. It’s also an excellent base to have a rental car to venture further out across the mountains and along the coast, each with their own dramatic and wild and rugged landscapes. Plan your time however, the distances may look short, but the roads will in a lot of cases halve your kmph.

    Lovely old town, with lots of quaint streets with restaurants, bars and shops. The town beach was lovely but Bodri Beach, 3km away, is beautiful. The walk from L'ille Rouse to Bodri was VERY hard to find, but it can be done!

    Calvi is absolutely incredible, beautiful views sea and mountains together crystal waters, great food, people so helpful would definitely go back. So far in Corsica we have been to bastia, sant florent and calvi and calvi is our favourite.out of the three. However all of corsica so far has been amazing. /the roads are fantastic and views incredible.

    LʼÎle-Rousse is strategically situated so that you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches of the area, like Bodri, with a 5 mins car trip in low season. It is a beautiful town that offers enchanting views from the sea to the mountains. You have everything from supermarkets to restaurants, an old city center with a pretty seafront. You can take easy strolls or long harder walks, if you are an hiker and enjoy all kinds of sea sports/sea activities. We recommend the Club nautique de L'Ile-Rousse, super friendly and helpful staff https://balagne-corsica.com/commerce-et-service/club-nautique-de-lile-rousse/. The charming old city center has plenty of cute shops for your shopping needs.

    Lovely beach, the resort has plenty of bars, restaurants, hotels and self catering, plus a few useful shops including a SPAR supermarket and independent bakery. It is a great base to explore the coastal region from Calvi to St Florent, or into the mountains up to Corte.

    I feel like the locals, esp restaurants and coffee places in the Main Street live off of tourism, but hate the tourists for all the chaos they bring to the place. The atmosphere is not nice. Also, it’s too crowded for my taste, but most of the world is like this now.

    A small but fascinating place if you like cafes. the beaches, nice walks, churches, interesting architecture, beautiful scenery. Accessible by ferry from Marseille. Good train links and plenty of places around and about to visit for day trips. The people were really friendly. I was there end Oct/Nov and the weather was beautiful. I ate really well - inexpensive menus - I don't eat meat but there were plenty of fish or veggie options.
