The house exuded coziness, boasting ample space and a particularly inviting terrace that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. We had two flats - large 3 bed flat and 2bed+small bunk bed room. Both gorgeous! While ski in options were not available, the 3-4 min distance to the bus station made reaching the slopes hassle-free, and the nearest lift was 5-7 minutes away on foot. One of the highlights was the enchanting forest path next to the house, leading directly to the La Rossiere centre. A 10-minute stroll through snowy trees added a magical touch to the experience. Overall, our group thoroughly enjoyed the stay – a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and scenic beauty. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone seeking a memorable mountain retreat. Plus there is a sauna and underground parking! Was on a trip with my motorcycle around Mont Blanc and found this pretty place to stay over by chance, coming from le petite st Bernardo. Couldn’t have been luckier! Was warmly welcomed and even a garage was offered for my bike. Got drinks and snacks offered in the cosy living room next to the fireplace and ended the evening with a glass of wine on the balcony while watching the stars. The bathroom was in perfect conditions for a warm shower and the bed / mattress perfect for a tight sleep. Liked the feeling of staying in an authentic Ferme in super good conditions. In the morning we had a lovely prepared breakfast at a large table - family style. It was a great opportunity to meet other travelers and share stories. La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village. I visited with my girlfriend, so I didn't go looking for too many Après-Skis. La Rosiere is a ski resort high up the Petit St Bernard pass above Bourg St Maurice. La Rosiere is a large chalet-style modern building near the top end of the main street. Lovely French village split into two easily walkable areas. We stayed in Les Eucherts which is fab. Plenty of ski shops for rental choice. 10 mins walk to La Rosiere main area. Very pretty resort generally with incredible views. Highly recommend it for a range of ski abilities. Mostly blue and reds wide slopes. Not too busy at any time during week. Skiing in to Italy is easy and different and there’s a WW2 fort! Approx 3 hour transfer from Geneva Overall highly recommend this friendly stunning under rated French resort, easy to get around. La Thuile is a quiet resort with a decent number of good restaurants and nice shops selling local produce. The ski area is fantastic and the fact that you can ski into La Rosiere and it's ski area is brilliant. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the general Aosta valley areas are linked up and you can use a six day ski pass in specified other ski areas in the valley for two of those days, so there's a lot of variety. I'm also told that your ski pass gets you on to the ski bus services, and the Mont Blanc Skyway cable car (though I believe the cable car uses both of your 'non LaThuile' day passes - but it's a huge saving. It's super easy to get to by car from Turin, the atmosphere in the village is nice, the mountain bars and restaurants are good and reasonably priced.
