Toulouse is a welcoming city. I found it a relaxing place with enough to see and enjoy without any pressure.Good metro to get around but plenty to see by walking. Spoilt for restaurant choices from the busy one's to the smaller quieter one's all providing good meals and good wine. We enjoyed an easy walk (on both days) to the main square with the church where there are bars. There are some interesting monuments, especially to the Great War. The town is set in lovely countryside, sadly spoiled by a paper factory which provides the town's main employment. We drove to St Bernard Les Comminges with a stunning church - one of the most beautiful villages in France - a short drive away. We hoped to return on one of the pretty routes with views of the Pyrénées but we were in rain. We also visited the little motor museum in St Gaudens run by volunteers. It celebrates the years when a motor race was held in St Gaudens, from the mid 1920s until 1953 when an accident at Le Mans forced it to close. Enzo Ferrrari raced there. The museum is called Musée du Circuit du Comminges. There is some fascinating old movie film which can be seen.Guest review byPenelopeFrance - 10.0

Toulouse has a very happy vibe. Not only is it a proper working city where real people actually live, everyone we spoke to says that they are really happy living here compared with other cities in France. This is a very convenient and contemporary Hotel and perfect for travellers. It's competitively prices and has lovely comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Great price and level of service for budget travellers. Spartan and minimalist. Best suited to car travellers as it is in a business park on the outskirts of the city. Quick and cheap metro 15 minutes walk away and is connected to the airport tram. Large Buffalo Grill next door if you arrive after dark. I managed to cadge a cup from the coffee machine to imbibe my red wine and paid €3 to hire a towel. Managed 24/7 which is good in case door code is faulty.Guest review byBruceUnited Kingdom
