Travelled by Train from Beziers to Montpellier, easy access to city. Although did have some disruption due to demonstrations, rail staff provided means to achieve our journey. Central square and around the Halles (Market) great place to eat throughout the day and evening.Guest review byGarry RoystonUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (...
We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (Auberge des Lices) and we visited the old town as well as the city. So much to see and do! This was our second visit and we were not disappointed (other than the note below). A slight caveat as one of party was disabled is that the walled City is not particularly disabled friendly. Those who stay in the other lovely hotels are afforded luggage transfer but those less fortunate with mobilty have to struggle waith bags and have to be able to walk quite a few hundred metres to get to a gate other than the main entrance which is the nearest to the Cite car parks. A golf cart type facility would I am sure assist even if there was a charge... Just saying :-)Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely little gem of a town, lots of medieval history and a good food and drinks scene. People are really friendly and a lot speak a bit of English if your French isn’t very good! It’s a very walkable town as well, and I recommend the little train tour to give you some history and context for the place.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Love the wide avenues, the incredible Roman sites and museum. Paradoxically I wasn't able to extend my stay because of the Feria - a giant oarty involvingvthe whole city and booking out all but the most expensive rooms. Regrettably the arena was closed on the lastv2 days I was there because of the Feria.🥲Guest review byMacleodAustralia - 10.0

Cap d‘Agde is very nice destination with plenty of yacht ports and a few different beaches nearby. You can find there both restaurants, shops and disco clubs. Many small apartments with some with swimming pools. Big Aquapark and paid swimming pool are also in the area. There are buses to Agde and Gare where you can change to another bus to the airport but they do not go very often. Generally I do recommend.Guest review byOlgaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beziers is a beautiful city but it is very hilly.
Beziers is a beautiful city but it is very hilly. The historic city centre is at the top of the hill but the station is at the bottom so it's a steep climb with your luggage. The food market was voted the most beautiful in 2025 and is definitely worth a visit. There are several restaurants around the market and I can recommend La Johane. The food and the service were excellent. The cathedral is very imposing and, being at the top of the hill, gives a great view over the surrounding countryside. The restaurant Les Bons Amis is near the cathedral and I had a wonderful meal there.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0
What a beautiful place.
What a beautiful place. Set between the coast and a massive lake it's idyllic. The shops, market, cafe's and restaurants are excellent - so much choice. There's also a lot events going on here - shows, concerts and festivals. We hired a boat to explore the water ways which was excellent fun. We had a superb 8 day stay and would highly recommend it.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is a nice town with a beautiful beach.
It is a nice town with a beautiful beach. It has a very relaxing and positive feel to it. Most of the tourists are French families. I found locals to be welcoming. We really enjoyed taking the tour train around the area and had fun. Be sure to visit the beautiful town centre. There are many charming little shops and vibrant outdoor markets.Guest review byJung-EunIreland - 8.0

La Grand Motte is pleasant and has numerous bars and cafes. The beach area is clean and looked after. It's not the most sophisticated seaside town but it's probably got something for most people.Guest review byLenUnited Kingdom
