First of all Bayeux is a perfect city, nice restaurants and very beautiful. The hotel is located 100 meters from the city center (cathedral) and a perfect place in the center of the D-day beaches and musea. The hotel itself is nice and well equipped. We have stayed 4 days to do a Normandy D-day tour. There is enough free parking in the area. Breakfast is very nice, just the same as big hotels there is everything you like for breakfast. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

Great location across from a large park, short walk to all the sights in town. Bayeux is a lovely town with a huge cathedral, museums, nice restaurants, and centrally located to the D-Day beaches. Our hosts were very helpful and wonderful. Their B&B is lovely and our room was very well appointed and comfortable. There is a large private backyard where we sipped wine in the unusually warm weather for April. Lovely breakfast as well. A great stay.

Location is ideal for guided tours of all of the D-Day beaches and Its just a 7 minute walk into the town. I always get a decent nights sleep at this hotel, and its quiet at the back. Three towels in my room, loads of hot water for showers. Bed linen and towels changed daily. Daily newspaper. Ample breakfast, Coffee, toast, bread and cheese, cereal and fruit juice. Hey, even some of the staff can use sign-language!

My second stay here. Excellent location with numerous bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Town centre only 10 min walk. Comfortable beds and a very good breakfast selection to choose from. Friendly and welcoming staff who could speak English . Free use of garage for our motorcycles. Would highly recommend as a base for a motorcycle tour of Normandy. All D-Day Beaches and museums within 1 hour of hotel.

Excellent breakfast. Superb restaurant for evening meals. Very friendly staff. We brought bicycles and used the car very little. The hotel is ideally situated, close to the coastal cycle route with traffic free routes to Caen and the D-Day beaches to the west. The room was simply furnished but the bathroom was handy with plenty of hot water.

I stayed in the hotel in Sainte Mere Eglise for 3 nights using it as a base to visit the Normandy D-Day beaches and for this it is an excellent location. The hotel is situated just outside the centre of Sainte Mere Eglise, which is only a 5-10 minute walk away. The room is basic but very comfortable, all I really needed.

Food excellent, room good. It rained so couldn't enjoy the grounds but they looked very nice. The proximity to Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, and the other attractions of the Normandy coast together with the quality of the food and service would entice us to return here over other hotels of similar rating in the area.

A lovely hotel just around the corner from the cathedral, the tapestry and (most importantly) loads of bars and restaurants. This was intended as a one-off trip to see the D-Day beaches and the tapestry, but I fell in love with Bayeux and I will be going back. When I do, I will stay at the Reine Mathilde again.

Beautiful place. Newly renovated apartment in the 'grange' with a lot of space: 2 comfortable bedrooms and a very large and very elegant living/dining room. 10 minutes by car from the beach, as well as Bayeux. Great location for discovering the D-day beaches.

The bed and room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and the host, Florence, was amazing!! Free parking nearby and town center is within walking distance. It's a great location to base out of for visits to D-Day beaches and museums as well.

Bed was very comfy. Truly felt like home away from home. The owner was so kind -- felt like we were staying with a relative. The neighborhood is amazing, right downtown amidst great restaurants. And so close to the d-day beaches where we were eager to tour.

Location excellent, really close to Arromanches and various D-day beaches and museums. Excellent budget hotel, facilities are very good with possibilities of self catering. The village is a little small, but we had a fab diner at The Cale about 100 m away.

Excellent location for visiting all the D-day beaches and surrounding areas, very polite staff and comfortable rooms with excellent showers. I had requested a room to be easily accessible for my father and this was gratefully provided.

We loved the location - very central for town and perfect for the D-Day beaches. We loved the heated swimming pool which was small but a real bonus in April and the hot tub which we used every day.

I chose the hotel as it was centrally placed for my visits to the D-Day beaches and airborne landing zones. I was right as it proved very easy to travel to all the places I had planned to visit.

Basic hotel on the outskirts of town. Excellent value for money. Snug but very clean. Handy pub next door for some food. Ideal for travel stop-over for Normandy D-Day beaches. Recommended.
