United KingdomFriendly, thoughtful staff. Very central for the Marina and all attractions. We have been here 3 times and each time the hotel staff have exceed our expectations, which is why we return.
Huge thanks to reception staff in particular this time. We were greeted on arrival by a really friendly receptionist/manager who helped us to park our motorcycles and take our luggage to our rooms.
It was our wedding anniversary and we were touched to be given cocktail vouchers to mark the occasion.
We highly recommend this place. Great, well proportioned, immaculately clean and quiet rooms and a warm welcome. Perfect!

and beautiful designed space in main house. But the best part is the STAFF.
Yes is always the answer.
We ate at the Brasserie ( Michelin restaurant was booked) which was wonderful.
We enjoyed the stay so much, that we came back for dinner and breakfast while staying on a chartered boat on the River which we docked at the end of the garden of the hotel a week later. We did not want to miss another delicious meal at the Brasserie des Flaneurs. Breakfast was served on Terrace with a botanical elixir, procured from the garden by Zena ( wonderful and super charming). A+

Have visited La Rochelle and nearby Ile de Re by yacht over many years and they are old favourites. La Rocjelle for its history, architecture and sophisticated seafront night life and dining. Ile de Re for relaxing and quiet.

We didn’t explore much outside the Futuroscope, as we spent three full days in the park. However, the town is easy to get around, and having a large Auchan supermarket right next to the park is very practical for visitors.

The hotel was situated in a busy, built up area, with a big Auchan Supermarket within a shopping mall and lots of fast food places in the strip. The hotel is next to a bar / pub that also did street food, so that was convenient. We have two small dogs, but we were given a second floor room as they had a coach party stating there. Because of the rain, the stairs were slippy and we had to keep going up and down the stairs to take the dogs to the toilet

Currently a very strange place - with abandoned buildings, construction work and many closed down shops and businesses until you get into the real heart of Niort near Les Halles (indoor market) and the riverside. There are many organised music events in the park and in the centre which seemed very popular.

A lovely quirky hotel in a good location with easy access to the major routes. Quiet and peaceful with two lovely ponds with resident birds, very entertaining over breakfast. Breakfast was beautifully presented with good quality produce.

A favorite spot was a circle near the residence and La Brasserie D'Cote restaurant. I ate at Le Grande Cafe, Chez Aristide, and Le Colibri. Walking is the main form of transportation, but buses, taxis and Uber are accessible. Square Des Medailles Militaries was a favorite were were to every day to eat, drink and shop. the people of Cognac were very nice and a few gifts were given to me to welcome me to their business., very kind and welcoming.also we used Uber & taxi and the drivers were great and we had the same driver several times and.
Cognac Houses were Remy, Voyer, Navarre the history was very impressive and rich.

The Cathedral was a must visit place.

Great little town with a very active Tourist Office who organised lots of events over the summer when I was doing my 3-week 'thermal treatments, e.g. music concerts, tours of the town or attractions, etc. The night market with food stands and music on Wednesday evenings was great.

Beautiful city full of charm and history.
Beautiful city full of charm and history. Fantastic cathedral and lovey cobbled streets to roam. We went for the Classic car rally which was very well organised. Staff in restaurants were all very nice and the quality of food and drink we experienced in a number of restaurants was very good. Definitely worth a long weekend visit.
