This beautiful hotel is at the end of a VERY quiet alley-type street. Location was great, the room and bathroom was beautiful; everything was excellent but the customer service was more than excellent. Maude and Audrey were not only helpful and knowledgeable,but extremely lovely to talk to. They arranged for my room to get cleaned first so I could check in a tiny bit early which was so nice of them. I would one hundred percent stay at this place again.

Where do I begin? Pascal and his team have made our trip to Le Thor one we will never forget. What a great host and absolutely the prime location if you want to experience the countryside of France. The rooms are huge and cozy, they feel like royalty rooms. The breakfast included was amazing: fruits, yogurt, bread, etc. Definitely worth it to pay extra for the spa - it just adds so much to the overall experience. Lastly, Pascal made sure we had the best stay - we didn’t have a car so he helped arrange for our cabs and restaurants. We feel very nostalgic looking back at our stay. If there is an accommodation that has set a high standard for us - it is Les Carmes. <3

Everything was great from top to bottom - Value was great for the size of the room, i was alone but easily spacious enough for a couple/family. Breakfast was 7-11am which is perfect if you are an early riser or want to sleep in, and had good selection. Very near to the city center (<5 mins walking), especially if you're taking the train for day trips along the south coast like i did.

I loved this town and hotel! It was small, but very charming and well decorated. I also liked that it had a small elevator to carry the luggage up and down. The staff were very kind. The room was small, but it had everything I needed, and I used the dining area after the breakfast time to work a little bit. The smell of bake goods others mentioned wasn't a problem for me, I even enjoyed it, lol. Just in front there's a daily market with fresh fruit, which I visited every day and the train is just 5-min away by walking to head to Nice or the nearby towns. There's nice beaches around. I would definitely come back!

it’s an 400 years old ancient house with very beautiful decorations and arts, run by a family that does hotel business for generations. It was so welcoming and everything is beautiful! different from Nice, it’s located in a quiet nice town but not too far away. The owner is extremely friendly, he helped us with very heavy luggages and we had a great time chatting. His recommendations to museums are excellent too!! we are so happy about this stay. oh! and the bath there is very nice so as the shampoo and shower gel!!

    From the beginning to the end everything was perfect! Nicolas was very helpful since the pre-arrival till we checked out! He helped us with a lot of suggestions about what to do in the region. Everything went well. The lady who served us breakfast every day was also amazing and very friendly. Your room us cleans and made up by the time you are having breakfast. The pool/jacuzzi area is so incredible, very peaceful. Overall we had a great time and would surely recommend the place.

    We loved our stay here. The breakfast was excellent! As a vegan they had plenty of options for me. The location was beautiful. There was a great parking lot for those who are driving. The spa is phenomenal! There were so many rooms and it was very spacious so it never felt overcrowded. The inside of the hotel is beyond beautiful, modern, but still has its charm of an old convent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

    Everything about Mas Notre Dame is incredible. The property is beautiful with multiple pools, a stable with horses, and well groomed landscaping. The rooms are large and very comfortable.     Beautiful city, very east to take day-trips to nearby cities along the French Riviera. The beach is rocky so make sure to bring sea shoes. Other than that the whole city is gorgeous and filled with great bars and restaurants. A lot of people speak english well so if you can’t speak French it’s no big deal. 3-4 days is enough time to get a good feel of the city.

    The city has two polar opposites, the touristy all polished places and the very narrow dirty little streets. I only got to see this because we arrived in the city with a car very late at nigh (early in the morning) 3:30am, and we missed a turn to get to our hotel so the navigation took us into different one way alleys and it was surprisingly lively and busy (not in a good way) at that time of the night. Otherwise on the typical tourist attractions everything seems normal, you see diversity of people, a lot of options for food and good atmosphere. We even witnessed a protest going on and still felt safe.

    Mostly disappointed with pollution!

    Mostly disappointed with pollution! Smoking is allowed everywhere. Worst ever on all my trips! Beaches are pretty dirty! And the seawater is very dirty. I did not expect this! Very disappointing this time. I'll never go back. There are many prettier places for a real vacation and rest!

    Loved the City of Avignon and on our boat to the Popes Palace there was a supplementary exhibition of Jean-Michel Orthoniel exhibition which is amazing. On until January so would highly recommend. Lots of tiny theatres in the Bohemian area around St Claire’s. Food was excellent and good value for money. A gem of a place in Provence.

    We spent two nights in Aix-en-Provence and completely fell in love with the city. The Saturday market was amazing, full of colors and local flavors. Aix feels like a charming small town, but at the same time, it’s vibrant and full of things to do. We really wished we had more time there!

    Menton is beautiful.

    Menton is beautiful. A perfect stop along a fab coastline of towns and villages both in France and over the border in Italy. The town itself is buzzing with cafes, shops and restaurants. The old world charm of the town remains and it isn't over- commercialised. Beaches are lovely, with warm, clear water, mind the stony sand though. The area felt unspolit. An ideal spot to base yourself to travel around the regions, close to Nice airport, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and Italy. Public transport was fine, trains and Ubers, local buses were infrequent. We loved The New Bar on the pier, a basic pub with music and friendly staff. Menton is hilly, especially around Menton Garavan (port area) so avoid if you've mobility issues or young children, better to locate in the town itself. Recommend a sunrise swim, beautiful to see the sun rise and reach the Basicilica St Michael, a must visit tourist site.

    Arles is a big city with the Roman architecture contained in the very centre. It has good restaurants (listed on TripAdvisor). We enjoyed the Art exhibitions and strolling around looking at the architecture. There is some nice shopping to be had and most boutique owners spoke English. We loved the Pizzeria near the Arena (right down the bottom of the hill) and Restaurant La Pergula was reasonably priced with good food. We liked the street cafe (with its large mosaic of Van Gogh inside), opposite the Tourist Information Office (where the people were very helpful). We did a Safari to the Camargue which was well worthwhile. It's difficult to park in the centre of Arles so take your walking shoes!

    Antibes was better than we had expected. Absolute stunning place with great history, architecture & lovely restaurants. Salis beach was clean, well kept & vibrant. Everything was within walking distance. We have booked to go back next year already.

    We Didn’t like Toulon. Large, busy place. The main town wasn’t nice and not somewhere I would want to walk around. Beaches were very average - dusty shingle rather than sand. I wouldn’t return or recommend. We included the visit in a stopover.

    there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or...

    there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or sheratons or Hiltons ? wonder why ?? the hotels are overpriced for the value we get. But the city is lovely and a very nice place to visit. Ie. the Breakfast place where we stay - the older generation with old mentality are Races and Rude, but the new younger generation are very nice and polite. I thin the older ones have their pains in the Ass..s to worry
