Where do I begin? Pascal and his team have made our trip to Le Thor one we will never forget. What a great host and absolutely the prime location if you want to experience the countryside of France. The rooms are huge and cozy, they feel like royalty rooms. The breakfast included was amazing: fruits, yogurt, bread, etc. Definitely worth it to pay extra for the spa - it just adds so much to the overall experience. Lastly, Pascal made sure we had the best stay - we didn’t have a car so he helped arrange for our cabs and restaurants. We feel very nostalgic looking back at our stay. If there is an accommodation that has set a high standard for us - it is Les Carmes. <3

The owners have crafted a very comfortable and charming inn out of an old house in a fashionable residential area in the central city. The art work throughout is pleasing and distinctive. The public rooms and guest rooms are relaxing and not pretentious. The hosts are truly warm and welcoming. The breakfast is exceptional. The secure parking really is nearby (in the same block). A pool and peaceful sitting areas are available inside and out. It is a quiet and ideal base to savor this distinctive city. Loved the plush towels and walk in shower.

This is a charming country house in Le Val, a few minutes from Brignoles. It’s is maintained perfectly and our host was more than gracious. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts. An amazingly beautiful hotel from A to Z. Everywhere you go on the property, you can see the care and thought that has been given to every detail. From the stunning architecture to the meticulous landscaping, from the food and drinks to the furniture and service, everything is of the highest standard imaginable. The spa in the complex is the most beautiful and largest I have ever seen, including endless options of pools, saunas, relaxation areas and more. The complex is large and very spacious, but there are only 49 rooms, which ensures constant peace and quiet. The food in the various restaurants is also excellent, and the hotel does everything in its power to adapt the food to the customer's requirements, including preparing dishes that are not on the menu as much as possible. Highly recommend!

From the beginning to the end everything was perfect! Nicolas was very helpful since the pre-arrival till we checked out! He helped us with a lot of suggestions about what to do in the region. Everything went well. The lady who served us breakfast every day was also amazing and very friendly. Your room us cleans and made up by the time you are having breakfast. The pool/jacuzzi area is so incredible, very peaceful. Overall we had a great time and would surely recommend the place.

Avignon is a brilliant location for your stay in Provence. Initially, we had looked at staying in one of the villages of Provence but on finding a great apartment decided to base ourselves in Avignon. This was the best decision and it worked out very well. We were able to go for day trips to towns like Les Beau, Gourdes, Roussillon and St Remy while also staying close to restaurants, markets and the beautiful historic sights of Avignon. I'd highly recommend this as a base and if possible stay as close to the old town as possible so that you can walk to everything.

there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or sheratons or Hiltons ? wonder why ?? the hotels are overpriced for the value we get. But the city is lovely and a very nice place to visit. Ie. the Breakfast place where we stay - the older generation with old mentality are Races and Rude, but the new younger generation are very nice and polite. We like to fly into Nice and head to Saint Raphael as it’s a large coastal town with a harbour but smaller than Nice and beautiful promenade and many restaurants . I can swim in the sea everyday and grab the sun . It’s a lovely town . Very easy to grab a bus for day trips to other places or a train. We love heading to St Tropez for a day trip . A lovely bus trip . Cheap and great views of the coastline . Also Agay is beautiful resort . You could do Cannes . I’m not sure as regards nightlife as we are are here to relax . There is a harbour and yachts aplenty . So there are options to indulge in sea/ water activities . There is a Monoprix supermarket on same street as large church and few minutes into front of train station . Various Pharmacies . (Important to note that as of this year you cannot purchase strong painkillers from a pharmacy in France . It’s by presciption only . So if you need or require some ensure you take them with you .) .great boulangeries and cheesemongers . There’s also a fruit , veg , Fish market worth a visit . Saint Raphael is all walkable and I spotted many visitors who were wheelchair users . So access appears to be good here . We usually return to Nice for 2or 3 days for more of a city vibe .
