- From $147.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,548 reviewsClose your eyes and imagine an idyllic place nestled in vineyards overlooking a charming Alsatian village where the church bells ring out the hours of the day -- this is Hotel Val-Vignes. The staff are incredibly friendly and highly professional. The rooms spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Table de Val-Vignes is offers outstanding food , drinks., and service. The morning breakfast is excellent. The view from the hotel patio is breath-taking. It is a short walk down to the lovely village of Saint Hippolyte. And be sure to take a walk in the nearby vineyards -- incredible views. Long uphill hike or short but tortuous drive up to the castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg but worth the visit.Guest review byKathleenUnited States
- From $412.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 627 reviewsThe hotel has two restaurants, the Vinstub serving country fare. La Table d'Olivier Nasti serving gourmet Alsacien food. The food at the Vinstub was tasty, the service a little hurried and the space was a bit tight. At the La Table d'Olivier N the food was perfect , the service impeccable and the wine selection excellent. We had a real nice ceremonial dinner not to be for gotten. The establishment has two well deserved Michelin stars . Unlike food served in similar etsblishmenst in the US, the food was not just well presented, it was recognizable for what it is and did not have the generic haute cuisine taste soon to be forgotten. It was worth a detour from Burgundy.Guest review byLoisUnited States

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 725 reviewsWe had a spectacular stay in early January. We loved the prix fixe dinner, the view of the property’s own vineyards. And we adored the view from our room and the wine list in the restaurant. Comfortable bed. Simple parking. Pleasant breakfast buffet and coffee in the morning. We hope to be lucky enough to return!Guest review byEmilieUnited States

Very clean and safe.
Very clean and safe. Perfect location for a short Elzas discovery trip. Highway to Straatsburg and Colmar/Mulhouse is only 5 mins away. On the other hand it's also a very short drive to get up in the mountains.Guest review byKarmenBelgium - 10.0
This is one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages...
This is one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in the Alsace wine region. It can be busy during the day at peak season as it is on the Wine Route and gets a lot of day visitors. Staying here means that you get to experience it in the mornings and evenings when it is generally fairly quiet and you can really enjoy the surroundings and the handful of local restaurants and cafes. For us, that was one of the best reasons to stay here. It is also a great location for days out around the region, to Basle in Switzerland (40 minutes by car) and also across the Rhine into Germany (30-40 minutes by car) being fairly central. From the UK, it is easy and fairly quick to get to with Eurostar into Strasbourg or cheap flights to Basle Airport then local transport.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful village with half-timbered houses in the heart of...
Beautiful village with half-timbered houses in the heart of the wine-growing region of Alsace. Very touristy during the daytime, but the crowds thin out considerably in the evening, leaving the storks in peace with those discerning enough to have booked somewhere to stay in the village itself. Eating out is expensive and the quality is mediocre. Nobody needs to try hard here, because the location is stunning and people will keep coming back even when service is poor. Some spectacular castle ruins are hiking distance from the village. The picturesque city of Colmar is within easy reach. The historic village of Turckheim is worth visiting when the town watchman does his nightly rounds of the walls, wishing all the sleeping inhabitants a "guati Nacht" in the Alsacien language.Guest review byThe Language SecretGermany - 6.0
The village is quite sweet but small.
The village is quite sweet but small. There are a few restaurant choices but they are expensive and the quality didn’t blow us away. It’s ok as a base for exploring the area but maybe not to stay. Best place we ate was Auberge le Biblenhof which I would highly recommendGuest review byHazel & friendsGermany - 10.0

This is such a picturesque town with lovely people. The wine! Fantastic. Things don't really open before 10. But the municipal spirit is exemplary. Each business puts great effort into its appearance and shows lovely civic pride.Guest review byEndaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautifully kept Medieval town. Extremely well run hotel with outstanding Breakfasts and beautiful food in the Winstub. The staff are very helpful and the owners work very hard and in the hotel every day. They look after their staff and they are all very happy, this comes through to the guests and means we all get treated in a professional manner.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 4.0

An industrial place, with lot of new houses made mainly of concrete. The mountains are beautiful, of course, probably this city is a good starting point for climbing or montainbiking. But I can't see any other reason to stay there.Guest review byZofiaPoland - 6.0

It's a very small village with few to many wine tasting possibilities, depending on the season. The pathetic thing is to book and then go to a restaurant else they don't entertain. Go to the next village and it's like a city.Guest review byShambhu DeoghariaIndia - 10.0

Wintzenheim is a stunning location based amid picturesque scenery, wine growing, restaurants, mountains and castles of Alsace. Very clean. The neighbourhood is friendly and 5 mins away from shops most are within walking distance. The apartment offers a free parking spot and a motor vehicle is recommended - however there is a bus service into the main centre - Colmar, and other nearby villagesGuest review byRobinAustralia - 10.0

Alsace is a unique region, of which Turckheim is a typical example of heritage and modernity. The wines are famous worldwide, the Cave de Turckheim is just outside the town walls surrounded by vines as far as the eye can see. Their restaurant Caveau du vigneron is the best in town.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
