This is a splendid geographically spread out hotel with consistent architecture and very adequate (and free) private parking. The owner gave us a tour when we first arrived and was most cordial. Because of the distributed nature, every room has a wide view if the sea. The breakfasts were far superior to those offered by similar size B&Bs: there was a wide and generous selection of meats and cheeses, several kinds of fresh slice-it-yourself bread including a delicious brioche. The coffee device freshly brewed 6 or 8 different selections, and there was a wide patio to enjoy the sea view during the meal. One word of advice: Google Maps could not find this hotel. Look carefully to the right as you arrive from the SE direction.

    The uniqueness of the the hotel is expressed in every detail: from little special touches in the rooms (natural scents, bed linen, coffee/tea set), to luminosity of spaces, to splendid (!) view across the bay, to infrared sauna and swimming pool that you can book for private use - this hotel is like nothing I had experienced before (with many 5-star hotels in 50 countries across the globe on my account). The experience at Splendid cannot be conveyed through words - it needs to be lived!!! I will for sure return soon!

    The room was very cozy, and the hotel enjoys an excellent location with both a pool and tennis court on the premises. The restaurant was absolutely delightful, offering an excellent breakfast and a superb dinner. Although the hotel looks quite old from the outside, the interior has been beautifully renovated. Another pleasant surprise was the spacious on-site parking area.

    The property had an excellent location. Madeleine was so helpful and friendly. The bus from the train station comes right to their front door. The breakfast was also a great value. We really enjoyed the hospitality.

    A nice town with plenty of bars and restaurants and good beaches. We stayed in a hotel for 2 days and then a villa with all the family for 6 nights. Plenty of places to visit within easy reach if Bandol.

    Sanary is one of the prettiest places I've ever been to.

    Sanary is one of the prettiest places I've ever been to. Very well maintained and protected. Nice beaches (Six Fours & Sanary). Everything is there for you to have a good time. I could go on and on, go and discover it yourself! :-) One thing I did not like at all; there is no dog beach.

    The hotel staff (one of whom stated it was her first day) were very polite, kind and welcoming : thank you! We got an upgrade to a sea front room, a twin, which wasn’t on offer when I booked. A fabulous breakfast the next morning too. As we stayed ‘out of season’ restaurants were not open late, but the ladies could advise where we could buy some food (the Chicken Shack down the road was just sufficient) - we were hikers so weren’t needing a ‘lovely’ restaurant sit down experience per se, and we arrived circa 1730. Once again, it was a fabulous overnight stay here and I’d love to return!

    Le Beausset itself is not a special place, but sufficiently large to offer various shopping facilities for food and other everyday needs, above doctors and pharmacies. A small square with cafes invites for a short stay. For us, the place was primarily a practical starting point to Le Castellet, Bandol, Cassis and other places located right next door.

    We arrived in mid-September when the weather was perfect and the summer crowds had disappeared. Although we don't play golf, nor did we play tennis, the hotel had fine facilities. The spa was exceptional with the pool and its jet waters (though not thermal). The outdoor swimming pool was inviting. All throughout our stay the staff was welcoming and most helpful. We were upgraded to a spacious room with a balcony and forest view, so we felt the price paid for our stay was appropriate. If only the breakfast would have been included in the price, our stay would have been perfect.

    It's not the most historically picturesque of the many competing seaside locations in the south of France but that probably makes it a little less crowded and it is very pleasant with attractive bays offering a lively port, pretty beaches and places to explore plus all the usual shopping and eating facilities. There's a good local train service to many other places along the coast.

    I have been in Sanary many times, but it was my first time...

    I have been in Sanary many times, but it was my first time sleeping there and it was really nice experience. It is a lively village and I always really enjoy walking close to the old traditional boats in the port or along the old town streets. Additionally there are always many events and activitities to enjoy.

    Saint Cyr is a small relaxed seaside town with a lovely beach - one part sandy and the other a little more stony. Harbour offers watersport options like SUP, Kayak and windsurf rental as well as a sailing school. It has plenty of restaurants and seaside shops as well as a bakery and small supermarket in the village.

    Super market is only a few km's away.

    Super market is only a few km's away. Great bakery at the bottom of hill for fresh bread. Bandon was 5km away with great restaurants and beach and marina. Great for evenings out. La Castellet village had a few good places to eat aswell. Views from the Villa where breath taking and lovely terrace to sit on and enjoy your morning cup of tea. I would highly recommend the place to a great get away.

    Bandol is a little pearl all year round - seaside markets every morning - 2 sides to swim - bayside & tiny protected rene cros - seaside walks with boutiques & restaurants- casino on seaside too - AND parking ! Above seaside the famous vignes & wines with small quaint villages - authenticity - Don’t miss it !
