- From $339.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 590 reviewsFrom the moment we checked in we felt all the travel stress disappear. When you are taken away from reception to sit down while checking in with a glass of sparkling wine you know you are in for a great experience. We stayed in the Newport suite and it is truly one of the prettiest, largest rooms we have stayed at in Europe. It has a deck that leads right to the water, an incredible bed, bathtub, shower and sitting area. We were blown away. Franck the GM and Gregory the bartender went out of their way to make us feel so VIP. The pool was great despite the wind, we found a nice area to sunbathe. The food is exceptional here. We had breakfast and dinner and were so impressed. We also had a private wine tasting to learn more about the region. Truly can't say enough and are already dreaming of returning! Thank youGuest review byBrancoUnited States

Tanya at reception made us feel welcome straight away and offered us a welcome beverage. There was water in the room when we arrived and a complimentary bottle of wine and a gift of honey which was a lovely touch. The staff in the restaurant were very efficient and courteous,. The breakfast was very good and the view was awesome. The pool area was very clean and the staff were very helpful in arranging towels and umbrellas.Guest review byGeraldineIreland

Nicolas was very helpful since the pre-arrival till we checked out! He helped us with a lot of suggestions about what to do in the region. Everything went well. The lady who served us breakfast every day was also amazing and very friendly. Your room us cleans and made up by the time you are having breakfast. The pool/jacuzzi area is so incredible, very peaceful. Overall we had a great time and would surely recommend the place.Guest review byNadiimNetherlands

As a vegan they had plenty of options for me. The location was beautiful. There was a great parking lot for those who are driving. The spa is phenomenal! There were so many rooms and it was very spacious so it never felt overcrowded. The inside of the hotel is beyond beautiful, modern, but still has its charm of an old convent. The staff were friendly and helpful.Guest review byNatalieUnited States

Beautiful city, very east to take day-trips to nearby cities...
Beautiful city, very east to take day-trips to nearby cities along the French Riviera. The beach is rocky so make sure to bring sea shoes. Other than that the whole city is gorgeous and filled with great bars and restaurants. A lot of people speak english well so if you can’t speak French it’s no big deal. 3-4 days is enough time to get a good feel of the city.Guest review byAyşeTurkey - 8.0
The city has two polar opposites, the touristy all polished...
The city has two polar opposites, the touristy all polished places and the very narrow dirty little streets. I only got to see this because we arrived in the city with a car very late at nigh (early in the morning) 3:30am, and we missed a turn to get to our hotel so the navigation took us into different one way alleys and it was surprisingly lively and busy (not in a good way) at that time of the night. Otherwise on the typical tourist attractions everything seems normal, you see diversity of people, a lot of options for food and good atmosphere. We even witnessed a protest going on and still felt safe.Guest review byAngelaNorth Macedonia - 8.0
Mostly disappointed with pollution!
Mostly disappointed with pollution! Smoking is allowed everywhere. Worst ever on all my trips! Beaches are pretty dirty! And the seawater is very dirty. I did not expect this! Very disappointing this time. I'll never go back. There are many prettier places for a real vacation and rest!Guest review byTatjanaCanada - 10.0

It is a marvellous city- stunningly beautiful with a chill, friendly and confident vibe. People are very kind to people with little spoken French and most speak quite good English. The food is great and prices reasonable. Being able to either walk everywhere or use the frequent, comprehensive trams makes exploration a pleasure. Overall, a truly special place.Guest review bySarahTurkey - 10.0
Loved the City of Avignon and on our boat to the Popes...
Loved the City of Avignon and on our boat to the Popes Palace there was a supplementary exhibition of Jean-Michel Orthoniel exhibition which is amazing. On until January so would highly recommend. Lots of tiny theatres in the Bohemian area around St Claire’s. Food was excellent and good value for money. A gem of a place in Provence.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (...
We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (Auberge des Lices) and we visited the old town as well as the city. So much to see and do! This was our second visit and we were not disappointed (other than the note below). A slight caveat as one of party was disabled is that the walled City is not particularly disabled friendly. Those who stay in the other lovely hotels are afforded luggage transfer but those less fortunate with mobilty have to struggle waith bags and have to be able to walk quite a few hundred metres to get to a gate other than the main entrance which is the nearest to the Cite car parks. A golf cart type facility would I am sure assist even if there was a charge... Just saying :-)Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We spent two nights in Aix-en-Provence and completely fell in love with the city. The Saturday market was amazing, full of colors and local flavors. Aix feels like a charming small town, but at the same time, it’s vibrant and full of things to do. We really wished we had more time there!Guest review byYICanada - 10.0
The owners are very responsive.
The owners are very responsive. The place is very clean and having everything needed in the kitchen. On the top, we found water in the fridge, some delicious catalan cookies and coffee for the morning. The apartment has air condition. The neighbors are nice, so it is quite.Guest review byLauraBelgium - 10.0
Menton is beautiful.
Menton is beautiful. A perfect stop along a fab coastline of towns and villages both in France and over the border in Italy. The town itself is buzzing with cafes, shops and restaurants. The old world charm of the town remains and it isn't over- commercialised. Beaches are lovely, with warm, clear water, mind the stony sand though. The area felt unspolit. An ideal spot to base yourself to travel around the regions, close to Nice airport, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and Italy. Public transport was fine, trains and Ubers, local buses were infrequent. We loved The New Bar on the pier, a basic pub with music and friendly staff. Menton is hilly, especially around Menton Garavan (port area) so avoid if you've mobility issues or young children, better to locate in the town itself. Recommend a sunrise swim, beautiful to see the sun rise and reach the Basicilica St Michael, a must visit tourist site.Guest review bymaeveIreland - 10.0

The Arena of Nîmes is a Roman amphitheatre built around 100 AD, shortly after the Colosseum of Rome, it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. The Jardins de la Fontaine are one of the first public parks in Europe and, even today, one of the most remarkable. The Museum of Romanity in Nîmes is a museum located opposite the Roman amphitheatre of Nîmes, In the heart of the Nîmoise city, faced with the two-millennial arenas, this archaeological museum presents the collections of the city.
