Old Town was wonderful.
Old Town was wonderful. Watch out for the thieving bar stewards on the tram - We thought we could tap on tap off, but it didn't work. We thought we would get to the end and explain to the ticket collectors and pay the fare. Instead the ticket collectors were fine collectors. 60 euros each fine for a 2 minute tram journey. There were at least 10 English people queuing up to ask for help and all they got was a fine too. I would have resisted and waited for Plod to turn up which is what they were threatening, but i only had 2 days and didn't fancy spending one of those days in a cell;)Guest review bychrisUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The city has two polar opposites, the touristy all polished places and the very narrow dirty little streets. I only got to see this because we arrived in the city with a car very late at nigh (early in the morning) 3:30am, and we missed a turn to get to our hotel so the navigation took us into different one way alleys and it was surprisingly lively and busy (not in a good way) at that time of the night. Otherwise on the typical tourist attractions everything seems normal, you see diversity of people, a lot of options for food and good atmosphere. We even witnessed a protest going on and still felt safe.Guest review byAngelaNorth Macedonia - 8.0

Great food and wine 🍷we found walking around town the nicest way around, go to the tourist information centre, get some free maps and info on buses trams etc. The river buses use same tickets as land buses. Buy first at some bus stops, the tap in on bus/boat. You can add 1 or 10 trips on One ticket (more if you want) once "stamped" the ticket lasts for 1hour on as many buses or boats! Do go on the "small train" near the info centre first, this takes you around the most of the highlights with multi language headsets. Enjoy. The just relax drink and eat.Guest review bystue burnettUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lots of wonderful monuments and historical buildings to visit. Transport system excellent once you have got used to it. Clean and comfortable. A multitude of cafes to choose from. A vibrant city with lots of young people but no trouble. A lot of dog waste though unfortunately.Guest review byBarbaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is an ideal weekend location lovely old welly feel to the place you must stay in the inner city/old town. Lots of lovely squares with street musicians, loads of bars and restaurants has a nice market on some days. We saw the CEZANNE exhibition which was great.Guest review byTraceyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lourdes is a Catholic religious site.
Lourdes is a Catholic religious site. One goes there for prayers and contemplation. Don't go there for tourism. The churches and basilicas are all over France. Tourists can choose other places with easier access.Guest review bySumah - 8.0

We stayed in a hotel within the walls and that was lovely (Auberge des Lices) and we visited the old town as well as the city. So much to see and do! This was our second visit and we were not disappointed (other than the note below). A slight caveat as one of party was disabled is that the walled City is not particularly disabled friendly. Those who stay in the other lovely hotels are afforded luggage transfer but those less fortunate with mobilty have to struggle waith bags and have to be able to walk quite a few hundred metres to get to a gate other than the main entrance which is the nearest to the Cite car parks. A golf cart type facility would I am sure assist even if there was a charge... Just saying :-)Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom
