Our room was amazing with a huge balcony an sun loungers overlooking the pool with an amazing view of Hondarriba in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We did not eat in the hotel as we decided to get a water taxi for €2.30 each across to Hondarriba which was buzzing with atmosphere and plenty of gastronomical delights to choose from. We really enjoyed the Thalassotherapy pool which was included in our room price. This was amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have as long as we wanted here as the hotel receptionist on the morning of departure could strangely only organise our taxi for a certain early time although we requested it after check our time so we could fully avail of the Thalassotherapy pool. We thought that she could have been a bit more helpful as the staff on the previous day were extremely nice and understanding and helpful. The hotel breakfast buffet breakfast was quite pricey for us, even the cheaper option of the coffee/croissant was €8 but there are plenty of cafes nearby to choose from. Bordeaux was a great city to visit! We went on an excellent wine tour to Saint-Emilion (Get Your Guide) and the meeting spot was so close to our hotel (bonus!) The Musee d'Illusion was so much fun! Unfortunately, our Get Your Guide river tour(Yacht de Bordeaux) was very disappointing because there was nobody at the meeting spot (in the middle of the street/tram line by a recycling bin and electric box). That was our first ever experience where a Get Your Guide tour seemed to be a scam. The company said that they emailed us but we didn't receive anything. Toulouse is a welcoming city. I found it a relaxing place with enough to see and enjoy without any pressure.Good metro to get around but plenty to see by walking. Spoilt for restaurant choices from the busy one's to the smaller quieter one's all providing good meals and good wine. Unfortunately, I was only here for a weekend trip, and I didn't have time to visit many of the local sights. A lovely area, especially if you like hiking. Loved the dunes. Very difficult to park but our holiday was in peak season so understandable. Quality of food not great and expensive. 2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed. Crowds on market day are crazy unless you go to first thing in morning. The €5 panoramic glass lift is worth it.
