- From $161.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 315 reviewsLa Bonne Auberge was a fantastic place to spend the weekend. We had incredible views of the nearby Alps, the rooms and beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast that was provided was delicious, with a lot of options to snack on. Above all else though, the owners were exceptionally helpful and kind. They helped us arrange for travel to some local hiking spots (we were car-less, but I would recommend bringing one if you're able) and had reservation suggestions for local restaurants because theirs was closed the night we stayed. Really a pleasure.Guest review byChristianUnited States

Ski equipment locker was provided at no additional charge. Front receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed (and even the pull out couch bed) were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook during our stay.Guest review byAndreaUnited States

Amazing location.
Amazing location. The owners and staff were friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. The bar was great, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had. I hope we can go back to Briancon in the near future because it's so beautiful, and we'll certainly stay here.Guest review byJBDRHDUnited States - 6.0

You need a reason to be in Barcelonnette. It is not a destination in itself. But good selection of restaurants and pedestrian fares. If you are motorcycling or bicycling, what a great launching point!Guest review byWarrenUnited States - 10.0

This village has quite a few decent restaurants, also cafes and creperies. There's a large public parking area. The hotel was close to everything. No need to use a car. We were there for 4 nights, which was just about right for us. The pistes are all mostly intermediate and blue runs. So fun for me as I like to ski just cruising along stopping at mountain restaurants. The restaurant at the top of the Aravet Gondola has a great menu and entertainment. And perfectly placed for those who partied too much and didn't want to ski down.Guest review bySVSusanUnited States - 8.0

Jausiers is on the crossroads of two slightly different routes of the Route des Grandes Alpes: one via Col de la Bonette and another one via Col de la Cayolle. The Route is magnificent. Would strongly recommend to include in the Route the Gorges du Cians and, especially, Gorges de Daluis.Guest review byMykolaBelgium - 8.0

Les Orres 1800 is a nice little village, with many families with kids visiting in Summer. That is the period, when we rented, I do not know anything about the winter. It is nice for hiking, cross-country biking/ VTT, and if you drive the 25 minutes down the mountain, you have access to the great lake of Serres Poncon, where you can swim, rent boats, etc. Enough for a week of fun. At most places where you can take the lift, there are restaurants, where you can sit outside and enjoy lunch or dinner. Our favorite place was Le Refuge Etoile, where they have excellent food and serviceGuest review byPeterFrance - 10.0

Valdeblore is a very nice little town, there is a beautiful church and ancient houses. I love the food from the boulangerie Terroir. I'd have liked to have more time to do some trekking in the beautiful mountains. I didn't use it, but I know that you can get around by bus. You can go to Nizza by bus in about 1 hour and a halfGuest review byAlessandra EleonoraItaly - 10.0

We went in spring which is outside of their main season so the town is quiet and peaceful but sure in season that it must be amazing. We found two restaurants open during our stay and they both had amazing good food & very friendly staff that could speak English.Guest review byChantelle LouwUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is the best ski resort ever.
It is the best ski resort ever. We have been traveling to different ski resorts in Europe for the last 15 years and this place amazed us with slopes variety. The skiing was wonderful, we did not search for “good slope or best root” like we usually did on previous resorts because there are so many of them that could be called the best :). Thermal SPA is an excellent bonus!Guest review byOlgaUkraine - 8.0

Great range of restaurants and shops with normal town prices rather than ski station premium rates. If you want rowdy aprez ski then Briancon is not the place. Bus service up and down the ski valley is reliable in morning and afternoon but less so during lunchtime and evening.Guest review byChris WilliamsUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is a great resort for families.
This is a great resort for families. Access to the slopes is very easy (a few steps away) and a free bus will take you to any of the neighbouring ski lifts. We were particularly impressed by the Pontillas gondola (five minutes on the bus) as it takes you up very high to an incredible, long and wide green run which is right next to some blues. This was perfect for us as one of us is a beginner but the other two were ready for something a bit more adventurous. It is great to see such a great green run so high up. If there are any issues with snow down the bottom of the mountains, it tends to be the greens that suffer. The Pontillas is brand new so doesn't yet have a restaurant or facilities up there but we were warned in advance so it wasn't a problem. There is a lovely little restaurant at the bottom, called Chalet du Lac. Beginners can purchase a debutant ticket for 18 Euros which gets you up there for as long as you want and then back again. We found all the ski staff to be very polite and friendly which was lovely after experiencing unpleasantness in Bulgaria. Being a smaller town, we also loved how quiet it was. We barely queued at all while we were there.Guest review byNatalie
