- From $124.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 494 reviewsSet in a quiet, rural location but still within a very short drive of Sarlat town centre. The hotel was our family's base from which to explore the area & we found it ideally placed with the main roads accessible within a few minutes drive. All parts of the hotel were incredibly clean & well maintained. Strong and reliable WiFi with good mobile phone reception. Breakfast was excellent & well worth paying the extra for. The owners were very helpful & responded immediately to any requests we made. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others and would definitely return for a further stay.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 554 reviewsEverything except the no aircon and the fact that there is no one available to help you after 8pm. We arrived around 7pm, when we figured that there was no hot water, it was too late, lobby was close and we had to shower with cold water to our 1 year old baby. Water was fixed in the end of the following day. It happens but this + the extremly hot temperature with no aircon did make the trip quite less good compare to what it could have been :)Guest review byChristopheFrance

2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed.
2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed. Crowds on market day are crazy unless you go to first thing in morning. The €5 panoramic glass lift is worth it. If you’re vegetarian or like plenty of salad/ vegetables you will struggle with all the restaurant menus foie gras and duck feature heavily.Guest review byIslayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This touristy village is a great base for a holiday in the Dordogne area of France. It's the world centre of prehistory, complete with the excellent National Museum of Prehistory and loads of caves and rock shelters nearby. The incredible cave paintings at Lascaux and the medieval town of Sarlat (amazing market on Saturday mornings) are a short drive away. There are loads of great restaurants in the village, and also a weekly evening food market on Fridays in the summer, with fabulous food stalls (top-quality take away dinner!). We didn't have a car during our holiday - we travelled there and back to Les Eyzies by train, and made full use of the local bus services 337 and 339 which run a very cheap summer service for tourists to Sarlat and Lascaux. Canoeing on the River Vezere is a must - we used Canoe 24, a 5-minute walk from our hotel.Guest review byDianaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We ate at the Pizzeria des Templiers Restaurant and it was excellent. Lovely cooling mist in their nice courtyard. Very friendly staff and delicious pizzas with a thin crispy crust. Tasty desserts too. We also ate at the Esplanade which is a lovely place to sit on a warm summers evening on the terrace. Very helpful staff for choosing the meal and wine to go with it. Also my friend had a problem with certain foods and it was no problem to make changes. They were so helpful. we also ate at the Asian restaurant just outside of Domme. They have just moved there. The meal was delicious and all home made. Not bought in frozen. Domme is great for shopping and all the shop keepers were super friendly.Guest review byRaymondFrance - 8.0

Sarlat-la-Canéda is a beautiful medieval town in a stunning region, full of charm and great bakeries. The area is packed with things to do—like visiting Domme, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, and the scenic gardens of Marqueyssac. There are plenty of restaurants, though it’s not ideal for vegans or vegetarians—this is Périgord, home of foie gras and magret de canard.Guest review byFredericNetherlands
