Very friendly people.
Very friendly people. Spoke to several other visitors who were also enjoying their stay. Several good eating places and good variety of shops. Excellent transport choices from local buses, trains and taxis. Good ferry trips at a reasonable price. Staff in shops and restaurants have a very helpful and polite attitude and seem to be happy in their jobs.Guest review byAllan - 8.0
Amazing part of the country with wonderful scenery.
Amazing part of the country with wonderful scenery. Most staff are extremely pleasant and friendly, but not all. Arrochar is a bit of a one horse town, although it's a great base for touring some amazing parts of the country. It's a very relaxing village with a lovely walk along the lochside.Guest review byHowden - 10.0
The entire location is stunning.
The entire location is stunning. Be prepared for lots of photos. Just walk along the row of shops, get some fish and chips or an ice cream and enjoy the view. Some accommodation places are high up on the hill so if mobility is a problem then recommend down on waterfront level. Most accommodations have rooms up stairs as well. I would return again. Tobermory is just beautiful.Guest review byElaineAustralia - 10.0

Lovely little town. Loads of places to eat and drink. The jail is well worth a visit. The castle is worth a visit but it was very busy and therefore difficult to get the most out of it however it was a Sunday lunchtime so maybe not the best time to go.Guest review byCarmelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Luss is a quaint little town with not many facilities but a useful local store. We were there for the Highland Games which were a fabulous life experience. The loch is gorgeous and the surrounding mountains are stunning.Guest review byCynthiaUnited States - 10.0

Regular ferries.
Regular ferries. Lots of catering and pubs and quirky shops. Beautiful old churches and regular activities in the Castle House museum and the Burgh Hall. Swimminig, cinema, supermarkets. Lovely nature trails, walks and climbs within walking distance of town centre.Guest review bySTEVENUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Kintyre is absolutely gorgeous - so beautiful, unspoilt, rugged and wonderful. Campbeltown used to be a little run-down but it was looking pretty good with lots of independent shops, two distilleries and a busy yacht harbour. Campbeltown is a good base if you need buses and amenities and for shopping in supermarkets.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from Glasgow - we took an afternoon bus to Tarbert and got private transport to Kennakraig ferry terminal the morning after. The town was lovely, with a nice castle and a couple of good restaurants as well as a pub with plenty of whisky options. We might have even stayed a bit longer had we known it was such a lovely place.Guest review byManuel E.Poland - 4.0
Very small village.
Very small village. Good charity shop and cafe and small Spar shop. Craignure Inn very poor food. Isle of mull community swimming pool good. Isle of mull food good but expensive. 45mins to Tobermory for shops and reasonable pubs/cafes. One hour on mainly single track roads to Dervaig and 90mins to Fionnphort for ferry to Iona ( £4.60 return on ferry to Iona then 10mins walk to Abbey for £9 entrance) . Good community pub in Fionnphort with good range of real ales and good food.Guest review byTomUnited Kingdom
