- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 177 reviewsThe location was so incredible, with a Loch-side view, and walking distance from trailheads. Food from the pub below was excellent, too! Our family of 5 had ample room, in comfortable beds. I loved the decor—very modern but cozy. Well-equipped kitchen, stocked with tea and milk. Towels and soap also provided for all rooms, and each room has its own bathroom. This is great for large groups. PhenomenalGuest review byPamelaDawnUnited States

He spent several hours chatting everybody up and making the atmosphere wonderful. We loved his banter with his English friend haha This location was great and every staff member went out of their way to say hello and chat. Highly recommend!Guest review byKayceUnited States

I took a fishing rod and on the first night had bbq mackerel on the banks of Loch lomand as its very close. The hills are walking distance from the hotel so on the second day we walked up Ben ime. The views are spectacular if you have not been to the west of Scotland you willl be impressed and the location is so close to Glasgow, difficult to believe a large city is so close.Guest review byDr BeeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There's not much in Tarbet, apart from the Hotel and a good restaurant, but its convenient for the Loch, and its on a junction of the main roads, so there's good access to other parts. There is a bus stop that the long distance bus services stop at. Loch boat trips depart from the pier. The Tarbet Hotel is a great place to stay. The Kirk 'o the Lochs is a good place to eat.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was al lovely place, not too far from the town, we ate in Dunoon & bought snack's & drinks in the town at Morrison's, the 3 of us stayed at the log cabin at Lamont lodges, lovely quiet place, dog friendly, as we had our small dog with us, we were there for the Argyll rally, booked in for 3 nights, the log cabin had all everything we needed, we all had a lovely comfortable time, the staff were lovely, helpful, & really friendlyGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Benmore was beautiful remote location good for getting away and especially at Christmas, we didn’t see many people unless we went into a local town, and we really enjoyed the Benmore hillside walk which we saw not one person.Guest review byToni - 8.0
Amazing part of the country with wonderful scenery.
Amazing part of the country with wonderful scenery. Most staff are extremely pleasant and friendly, but not all. Arrochar is a bit of a one horse town, although it's a great base for touring some amazing parts of the country. It's a very relaxing village with a lovely walk along the lochside.Guest review byHowden - 10.0

One could take a nice wander around Tarbet but a car is needed to explore the lakes, castles and countryside around and about. It's an ideal location, to discover and walk and the views are wonderful; the air is so clean. There is a shop nearby, but limited so you need to be organised with provisions.Guest review byDeborahFrance - 10.0
Our stay at Rowan House B&B was absolutely fantastic!
Our stay at Rowan House B&B was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, with a stunning view from the window, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Anna was incredibly responsive and provided great local recommendations, making our time even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious. The surrounding landscape views were absolutely beautiful! Everything was beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend this and can't wait to come back again!Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom
