The Old Courthouse Pub - go upstairs to see the old courtroom (available for event hire) and the toilets used to be the prisoners' cells (& rumoured to be haunted!). The Turkish Kitchen - great food, good value & very peasant staff.Guest review byMike ChagouriUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Our stay in Stow-on-the-Wold was charming and peaceful – cobbled streets, cosy tea rooms, and friendly locals at every turn. We wandered through antique shops, enjoyed hearty pub meals, and soaked in the Cotswolds’ timeless beauty. The perfect blend of relaxation and little adventures. Oh, and the cocktails! 🍸 We’ll definitely be back.Guest review byJonnyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Nice little town with great pubs and close by to local attractions. We stayed here so that we could visit the farmers dog and we were only 25 minutes away. We also visited a few of the other little towns and villages. Great location. We ate at Bitter & twisted one evening in chipping Norton. Staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Great value for money also. We would definitely return.Guest review byKatie - 10.0
Very busy, but well worth the effort.
Very busy, but well worth the effort. So much to see and do not only in Bourton but also the surrounding countryside. There are ample venues for food and drink, shopping is on another level. Model village, car museum, bird park are must dos. Upper and Lower Slaughter are just unmissable places to visit (get there before 10:30 am as parking is scarce. The Old new inn, does a great Sunday roast and Mrs Rolts and the Croft for breakfast and lunch.Guest review byTickety booUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The town has a little bit of everything from a bustling town centre, small museum, great bookstores , a great choice and variety of cafes and pubs. The nearby country walks across beautiful Cotswold countryside also provides you with exercise and fresh air. Clarkson’s pub-The Farmer’s Dog-is within busing or walking distance. There are many other pubs worth visiting nearby as well-many providing delicious and nutritious meals. We really enjoyed our visit and would come again.Guest review byJayneCanada - 10.0
Stroud is a town with plenty of character.
Stroud is a town with plenty of character. There are many independent shops and alternative lifestyles are welcome. There are many coffee shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed The Curio restaurant, King St, Woodruffs coffee shop and Rajat Indian restaurant. We walked along the canal to Stroud Brewery which has a good bar and restaurant. That was an easy walk. We walked up Swifts Hill, Slad Valley and had a drink in the Woolpack, not so easy but very enjoyable. This is a must for fans of Laurie Lee's books.Guest review byTulloch - 6.0
The Thames is stunning and worth a stroll along.
The Thames is stunning and worth a stroll along. Sit and watch the birds, fish, boats, dragonflies, and people enjoying themselves. The Rose Revived Public House and Restaurant is not for fine dining but you can have a wonderful meal and a lovely drink in nice surroundings. The willows and gardens are lovely. The waitresses like Ella are well trained and full of life.Guest review byNicholas - 10.0

I believe Chipping Campden to be overall the best location in the Cotswolds. It has everything you need including pubs, a cocktail bar, restaurants, shops, a small mini-market, and the high street is picturesque and atmospheric. Just a lovely little town with great access to the rest of the Cotswolds. Da Luigi Italian restaurant is a particular find, with wonderful food and very friendly service.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Moreton in Marsh was a convenient location for a side trip from our visit to London. Very easy train access and a very walkable and charming little town. We used this location as a base of operations to tour some other Cotswolds towns and couldn't have been happier.Guest review bySteve
