If someone wants to explore it all (especially not just the most famous tourist attractions), you'll definitely need at least a week. We use to visit Blackpool when our children were young, myself and my son decided to go back and relive some memories. Wow what has happened the council need to start generateing funds into the place. Help get those buildings and guest houses sorted. We were so shocked really disappointing not half the place it used to be . Be aware that the restaurants stop serving food earlier than other places I have been too, unless surviving on fast food is an option for you. A lot to see and do. An an amazing historical city, with all amenities very close to each other. York Minster was awesome, and we loved the History Museum and gardens. The Railway museum and Jorkvic Viking museum are absolutely essential to visit - they were both superb ! The buffet breakfast was ideal for us and in a very quiet and peaceful setting. There were people around to help you to a seat and so the dining room didn't seem too overcrowded. The staff greeted us and that made a difference to our experience for breakfast!! The room was better than expected and we took a walk in the evening despite it being on a busy road. The reception staff helped with information about the shuttle bus to our terminal and it all worked well. The 'Great Western' ship (built by Brunel) was interesting). The 'Concorde Museum' was great! The last Concorde that flew.! I went over to the coast to Portishead and was amazed by the 10 meter tidal range.
