- From $145.62 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,835 reviewsWe had an amazing stay here. The staff were so kind and accommodating. When an issue with our room couldn't be resolved, they moved us to a better room, to ensure that we had a comfortable stay, which was amazing. The space was beautiful, with stunning views and clean, stylish interiors. There were beautiful walks, tennis courts, games, restaurants, with easy access to St Ives. Would definitely recommend, for the fabulous staff and gorgeous, comfortable spaces.Guest review byMeganFrance

Love the magnificent architecture in london.
Love the magnificent architecture in london. Shame that major banks have given up prominent sites in Central London which impressed me so much when I first arrived in the 1980s. I love that I can see men wearing smart suits and ladies dress well. It is lively and I hope this vibrancy continues.Guest review byNeilUnited Kingdom - 10.0

First impressions were it was grand. Lovely old buildings.
First impressions were it was grand. Lovely old buildings. Doing The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour was fantastic. Other than learning more about the early days of The Beatles it was great to see the suburbs where people lived. The Cavern Club (free entry ticket with Beatles tour) was fantastic. The night we went a Beatles tribute band was playing which made you think back on what it was really like in those early Beatles days. The Mersey Ferry ride was great. Helped you appreciate just how big the docks area is. Visited Port Sunlight the home of Unilever. A lovely quiet little town built for the employees of Unilever. Very different.Guest review byMike MerkelAustralia - 8.0
Cosmopolitan, but really friendly.
Cosmopolitan, but really friendly. Lots of interesting places to visit - notably the Jewellery Quarter Museum (take the tram) and the Back2Backs Museum (by Chinatown). Obviously, fantastic shopping in the Bullring and many other shopping centres etc and the Gas Street Canal area was interesting (probably even more so at night when it really comes alive!). With the recent death of Ozzy Osborne (Black Sabbath) there's plenty of 'memorials' to him currently. If historical and cultural buildings are 'your thing' then there's plenty to see and do. We were surprised by the significant amount of 'open spaces' for the residents/workers of Birmingham to relax in the centre of the City. Don't overlook Birmingham as a city centre destination!Guest review byDonaldUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I'm always surprised at the reaction to my saying we stay in Blackpool. I don't think that the British really know what it is like there now. So much has been raised and rebuilt and so much more is being replaced. Gone is the police building, Topping St. has been replaced, the new government building is complete and they have started to bring down the housing behind Sainburys for the new university. Even the Washington Pub is getting a face lift. There is so much to do here.Guest review byHeathCanada - 10.0

Such a lovely place is Newcastle.its great for shopping and seeing the history of the city. But mostly, is the friendliness of the people. Certainly felt safe. Even walking in the evening. Great places to eat, I recommend Pho The food was delious and price was good too. Also Babucho, amazing food and great for special occasions. Brilliant service at both restaurants. Wetherspoons is another. With 3 floors you'll always find a seat and breakfast was lush. It is easy getting round Newcastle, either walking, bus which has many buses going to different areas and Uber if your in a hurry. Night life is great for the young at heart 😉 Revolutions and revolutions de Cuba are great place to go for drinks and a good old boogie, excellent service.Guest review byAnnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
York is a beautiful historic city.
York is a beautiful historic city. We timed our trip right just after the summer holidays and before half term and the winter season begins as on this visit we could walk around more comfortably still lots of people but not mass crowds of tourists meant this trip a lot more chilled and relaxed.Guest review byWyllieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A wonderful city full of hidden treasures.
A wonderful city full of hidden treasures. We went to Clifton to walk along the Suspension Bridge and meandered into the Centre and Harbourside via the museum and Park Street then to the famous Llandoger Trow. Also went to two Italian restaurants - one in Westbury Park (Prego) and next evening to one on Stoke Lane. Both excellent!Guest review byHowardUnited Kingdom - 8.0
the location, price, breakfast was good.
the location, price, breakfast was good. Let down by the parking fee @ £20, room small, toiletries very cheap, used my own. Went for a funeral so didn't look around, but went to the city center for food as more choice for Gluten Free.Guest review bySuzieUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The buffet breakfast was ideal for us and in a very quiet and peaceful setting. There were people around to help you to a seat and so the dining room didn't seem too overcrowded. The staff greeted us and that made a difference to our experience for breakfast!! The room was better than expected and we took a walk in the evening despite it being on a busy road. The reception staff helped with information about the shuttle bus to our terminal and it all worked well. We ate in the evening at the pub down the road which was very busy but good value food.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom
